Quark and Odo's — Local services in Yelm

Ok I have thought long about this review. We booked this escape room for my husband’s birthday last weekend as I had not realized we had new escape rooms in the area and we love doing them and even make a point to do them when traveling. The guy at the counter was great he was welcoming and funny. He did a great job leading us into the experience. We did the water tower room. I wish I could say this was amazing, but we were done in less than 30 minutes. This is a very beginner room and I wish it was noted as that. It’s a small space and not very challenging. I was disappointed for the cost for it to be so underwhelming. It did not make us want to think about trying out anything else there which is a bummer as we are always seeking out new escape rooms. The intent for this review is not to bash the company because I support local businesses and the person there was really nice and great. I just want others to know this is very beginner and might not be enjoyed by those who have done escape rooms in the past. The price is too high for this...

Husband brought me for my birthday. I think he picked this place because it's one of the few escape rooms that will allow only 2 people - without costing a fortune to buy out the session! We had never done an escape room before, but so glad we did this one as our first! We did Magical Mike's and had to escape a cave. The puzzles and clues were just hard enough to take us right to the end of our time! We laughed, made friends with some bats, and worked as a team to escape! This was a great introduction to escape rooms, and made me want to do more of them! I'm geeky myself, so absolutely LOVED the Star Trek theme of the place!! Would love to go back and try the other room. Then maybe not need as many hints, since we did the hard room first... Would recommend this place to anyone and everyone who loves to solve puzzles! Is it too soon to go back already?? Asking...

There were certain items that were not reset so the game master hadnt even checked to make sure everything was properly reset prior to our session. The Magical Mike room itself is ONLY one room which is odd for escape rooms in todays age. The quality of props and the room itself seems like items found from a dumpster and put together. Very cheap. The host is nice enough. They are a little too heavy on the star trek references considering it's not part of the lore of the room. The puzzles are disorganized and the solution for some still dont make sense in hindsight (we had to randomly guess for multiple sections). This is supposed to be the more challenging room of the two and it was poorly done. Will not be back to do the other. It seems like the business owner is 15 years too late to the original cash grab business model of early...
