Youngsville ABC Store — Local services in Youngsville

Revised review: Originally 1 star due to no raffle system and secondary market sellers lining up to buy allocated bottles to flip for profit. This store is trying a new system to fix the poorly run prior one. The new lottery is better than prior, but not by much since they only hand the same number of tickets as the number of allocated bottles available. Therefore, a line still forms outside the store for the lottery tickets and if its a limited number of bottles, you wont get a ticket. A simple lottery with unlimited tickets handed out for 24 hours would get rid of the "line of people" forever. It would also still give everyone a fair chance at a nice bottle. They didn't have the specific brand that I wanted today but they were super apologetic about it. The store is otherwise very well stocked with all the different types of liquors and flavors and manufacturers. So much so that there's barely enough room to walk down the aisles!

After walking up and down the vodka aisle twice, I was asked if I needed help. I decided that this time, I did. The guy said that he did know of Oxford Oaks and checked his app. They do usually carry it but were out of stock at this time. I was mentioned by visiting the store about there once a month ticket drawing for allocated bottles. Was told to come today on Monday October 7 for a ticket and the drawing would be Tuesday at 6pm. I drove 1.5 hours in traffic for the employees at the ABC store tell me I don't qualify because I'm not EMT, MILITARY OR A SERVICE MEMBER. They were not transparent from the beginning. Terrible service in my opinion. Next time provide all details before someone drives a long distance for no reason. All I got was sorry. Sorry don't give me my 3 hour drive back and forth back to me.
