I finally have a nice store nearby where I can purchase Mexican food products that are familiar to me growing up! Not only do they sell dry goods, vegetables and cheese like queso cotija which you can put on refried beans, corn, tacos and so much more. They carry dried herbs which are common in Mexican cooking and for medicinal purposes. For a small store they sure made sure to accommodate so many products neatly organized. The prices are extremely reasonable and can't wait to go back and buy masa when I mentally prepare myself to make tamales LOL As you walk in through the back door where parking is located, you'll see some housewares like clay pots from Mexico, plastic containers and frozen vegetables. They sell straw hats and caps with Mexican style logos such as Guadalajara, where my folks are from, with handmade details on them. Super clean and well laid out selection of all types of good stuff.
Used to be a liquor store (which I rarely ever managed to visit) next to the legendary The Bomber restaurant. Now it is another excellent example of a solid Latin food grocery in Ypsilanti.
This store plenty of nice surprises for cooking, gifts and everyday essentials (in my humble opinion).
