I am a teenager and I know that people have given my age group a reputation of being very juvinial, but the treatment I feel I was given tonight was a little over the top. I was with some friends after I had just gotten off of work and was going to buy some new shoes. By the time we walked over to the shoes section one of my friends was already being followed by one of the workers. We ended up trying on some clothes and at the time I didnt think about it, but there were two more workers watching us. We were coming out about 2-4ft out of the dressing room to show each other what we tried on and to get stuff off the racks that were right next to the rooms. I thought that doing this was fine because I had done that when I had shopped there with my mother and never had a employee tell us otherwise. I happened to be the last one to still have merchandise on (a shirt). I could see the workers faces and I could tell they weren't very happy, so I went in the changing room to take it off and one of them followed me and said something but I wasn't able to hear her. I decided on a pair of jeans and by this point I heard the workers conversing and I over heard one talking about calling the police. I finally understood that they assumed I was trying to shoplift and I was genuinely very worried. I have gone to this Kohls many times and this has never happened to me, or atleast it wasnt as noticable as this obviously was. We walked around the store a bit longer and there were four employees following us at this point. I finally conversered with the one who followed me into the dressing room and asked her what she said to me, she didn't respond to my question and I asked her if I did something wrong and she scoffed and said that I knew exactly what I was doing and that she has kids my age, so obviously she already assumed that I was about to shoplift. She was just generally being rude about the whole situation, I know that this is her job and she was only doing what she was supposed to, but to wrongly accuse a costumer, be open about it and to say very clearly that they were going to call the police and to have 4 of their workers follow us and on top of that, my sister who was with me at the time told me that one of them followed her into the bathroom. It was just ridiculous and very upsetting. By the time I got to the cash register I was very upset and I asked the cashier if I was aloud to walk right out front of the changing room with something on and she said that I had to stay fully inside. I wish that I was just told by one of the four that I had to stay inside instead of making a big fuss about...
Read moreI almost never shop in Kohl's but I decided to go in last Saturday. As I was looking at product pricing, I was reminded why I never shop at Kohl's. For the most part everything is priced at the top of MSRP and their"sale" prices are typically higher than regular priced IDENTICAL items at other stores. For instance I wanted to buy a Power XL indoor smokeless grill; Kohl's "SALE PRICE" was $139.00 ... WALMART's regular price was $99.00! Thats a whopping $40.00 in savings. Additionally on the same day JC PENNEY had it on sale for $89.00. Walmart was across the street, so I bought it at WALMART. Now let's get to the skillet; this was one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen in a store. The skillet pictured wasn't used once and returned because it was defective, the skillet was well-worn with multiple layers of cooked on grease and someone accepted it back in the store that way and someone hung it up with original price tags to sell this product at the regular price! I will not go back to Kohl's ... Ever again. Oh I might go back to see if the skillet is still hanging because I did show these pictures to...
Read moreThe employees are friendly. However, I ordered an item for pick up which was intended to be a wedding present. Thankfully I opened the box before I gifted it! The item was supposed to be a candle holder with the words live love laugh on it. Instead it came with live love live, which was laughable. The lady at the desk was helpful when I asked her if I could switch it out. She told me there was only one other item in the store and if I found it I could switch it. I easily found the item and opened the box before I took it upfront to ensure it had the right saying on it. However, the item again had live love live on it. So I took it to the front with me and told the employees that it had also had an error. They opened both boxes and sure enough they both had the same error. The lady gave me my refund and I went on my way. I visited again and they had the item in the clearance section... I hope someone enjoyed their live love live...
