✨preserved egg & pork congee ✨marinated duck ✨chinese wine chicken claypot ✨yummy pork ribs claypot ✨peanut butter toast ✨salt & pepper calamari ✨salt & pepper quail ✨lemon ribena and lemon tea

🤩🤤my favs were:

the congee omg, such a comfort food, i haven’t had preserved egg in a while and was a little scared i wouldn’t like the taste but it wasn’t overwhelming as i thought it would be! so so delicious, i will go back just for this congee🤤🥰dipping the deep fried bread sticks in this was another level-🥳

the chinese wine chicken was so flavorful and tender, i was very surprised how soft the chicken was, all soaked up in the delicious sauce, incredible🤤

the peanut butter toast oh my- i mean the visuals look🤩just layer upon layer, beautiful, i do recommend eating this last though since it will fill you up quickly!🥰

i wasn’t expecting the calamari to look like that, but it was so good🤤perfectly seasoned and deep fried, wasn’t as oily as it looks which was amazing! a lovely dish to accompany everything else🥰

okay the drinks were HUGE oh my, you truly get your money’s worth, my lemon ribena was 💯 such a nostalgic drink!🥺🥰

overall, i really recommend @sunnybankoriental.bne a long time restaurant at the plaza, definitely underrated for their delicious...

No stars at all. Non deserving. Service is absolutely appalling. Three meals all came atleast 10 minutes apart. One finished eating while the other two still waiting for their meals. What’s worst was the last meal came but was incorrect. My daughter ordered sweet & sour pork with rice and pointed out and repeated the item number to the waiter. It came as a main dish with no rice. I thought they’ve forgotten about the rice. They checked and found out they’ve made a mistake. Another waiter came, shoved a bowl of rice on the table and said “I give you rice for free but you still need to pay the price for the main dish”. What is this suppose to mean!! You got the order wrong to start with, no apologies whatsoever, shoved a bowl of rice on the table and said that?!?! I said then take this all away and bring me the correct order. This just leave a very bad taste and no customer service at all and they don’t seem to care for their customers and people working there just look disinterested. This is the worst Chinese restaurant I’ve been to...

@sunnybankoriental.bne is a Hong Kong style restaurant is located in the Sunnybank Plaza and it’s an absolute gem! I have walked past this restaurant so many times but never got the chance to try it out until this time and I gotta say, I’ve been missing out 😭

I realised Google maps didn’t show the location correctly - it’s located where the CBA ATM is 😌 The restaurant is quite spacious and got a lot of seating, so if you have a bigger group don’t worry, you’ll be fine! And remember, Chinese food is always best shared 🥰
