👀✨back again with another Chinese cuisine restaurant! Sunnybank is filled with so many different Chinese restaurants, @yourpersonalchefsunnybank in particular is well known for their Hainanese chicken rice, but this time round we wanted to try their other options to see what other deliciousness was in store!✨🥰

we got✨🍽️:

🔥sichuan spicy beef 🦑salt and pepper squid 🍲chicken in corn soup 🦆half braised five spices duck ✨char kuey teow 🍚beef and rice in egg sauce 🧋iced milk tea

loved loved the sichuan spicy beef and braised duck!🤩🔥both were so flavorful and delicious~ i’m going back for that duck oh my🤯🤤i ordered the soup thinking it would be the standard chicken and corn soup, my eyesight failed to comprehend chicken IN corn soup😗🤣but! what a pleasant surprise! the soup was super creamy and loaded with corn as well as slices of their poached chicken! also it’s a huge serving so definitely group share dish!✨🍲

the squid was nice but the batter was a little too thick unfortunately🥹🤧the char kuey teow was loaded with ingredients, but i would have like it more charred~🥰the milk tea was yum! it’s more on the bitter tea side which i like, and makes it less heavy and more refreshing!🧋🤍

conclusion, i do recommend @yourpersonalchefsunnybank not only their Hainanese chicken rice is good, so make sure to try their other dishes!🥰don’t expect mind blowing from them, but soul warming and comforting! i grew up with similar dishes so it was...

made our way to @yourpersonalchefsunnybank finally, after hearing some great things about their Hainan Chicken dish. However, when we got there to look at the menu , there was soo much we wanted to try - we ended up ordering 2 mains plus rice instead 😅☺️ . We got: • 霸王雞 - Steamed chicken with Ginger and Shallots 🐓 • 魚香茄子煲 - Pork mince & eggplant claypot 🍆 . Both dishes were really good value for the price, with them both being very generous portion sizes. Flavour wise, the chicken dish was cooked soo well. The chicken was super tender, not overcooked or dry, not undercooked and the ginger, soy and shallots provided a very fragrant accompaniment to the dish 🤤🤤 . The eggplant dish was great too. Loads of sauce in the claypot but not drowning the eggplant excessively. Sometimes this dish is made and there’s s thick layer of oil the rats at the top but this one thankfully didn’t have that. It went well with the rice and the eggplant strips weren’t too thick, allowing it to soak up and be coated with the yummy sauce 😊🤩 . Despite having walked past @yourpersonalchefsunnybank numerous times I only went in for the first time quite recently. And did I regret not giving them a try earlier? Yes. 🥹

They are located in the carpark building in @sunnybankplaza (near Cube Hotpot/Love Malatang) and they serve a variety of Cantonese dishes. The restaurant has a variety unique interior and the ambiance is great. You can order through an ipad which makes the process a lot smoother and easier ✨
