I would have said that the place is solid if it weren't for bad service. The meal started fine, and the chicken salad was very decent. However, trouble started when I asked for a second glass of wine, and was presented with something that barely passed for a glass. I made a joke to the waitress, asking how come I get a half-glass this time, and she said she'll take it back and top it off. Instead, however, the manager came out. Rather than add a bit more wine to the glass, she chose to tell me that this is what they call a glass here. And asked me, in a challenging tone (all this is in Spanish), do I still want it. I told her that, fine, I'll keep it, and also asked her for the check (instead of ordering the desert, as we had planned). Fifteen minutes go by, there is no check, but, the staff decided to wash the sidewalk right next to our table (we sat outside), pushing dirty water with a brush towards our table. When I confronted them, asking whether they think it's nice to be sitting at a table with dirty sidewalk water getting pushed towards us, they didn't get the hint and just rolled their eyes. Never have I ever been sprayed by dirty sidewalk water at a cafe with the waiters not even recognizing that what they were doing was wrong. I'm adding the image of the freshly washed sidewalk from our table, with the corner of the table visible. No wonder the place was half-empty, even though the couple of places next to it had a waiting list....
Read moreI am surprised by the excellent rating of this restaurant. My mother and I sat down, were ignored for 15 minutes, and left. I haven't had a single experience like this with waiters in 2 weeks in Buenos Aires so congratulations. Maybe we weren't welcome as European tourists. It was our last day here so the waiters would have gotten a very good tip, as we still had to get rid of pesos. Unfortunately, I can't think positively that the restaurant was overcrowded and they were therefore stressed: there was really nothing going on, the 4 waiters (why does a restaurant with 3 customers need 4 waiters?) ignored us, but stood around gaping.
We then went to the Sadhana garden café on the opposite side and were served immediately. Congratulations, as I said. I can recommend the garden...

The food was outstanding — every dish was prepared with care and full of authentic flavor. The pasta was fresh and cooked to perfection, and the seafood was incredibly fresh and flavorful. Their wine selection is excellent and pairs beautifully with the menu.
