Exedra — Restaurant in Autonomous City of Buenos Aires

We visited this restaurant for the first time. Very nice place and atmosphere. The food was delicious, the drinks were delicious and everything was worth the price. We had a good hour and thought we'd come back here.

But when we asked for billed us. The waiter came with a terminal for payment without a bill and asked for my card to pay. I was confused that I don't even know how much money I spent. We don't speak Spanish, we work on a cruise ship, almost like tourists. The waiter tried to take advantage of it. But by trickery, he took 30,000 ARS from the card. We ate for 18,000 ARS.

When I saw the bill from the terminal. I asked, what is this? He said it was a "tip". To tip or not is my choice. Waiter choose to pay himself a 60% tip from the amount of our order. A terrible place for tourists and guests of the city. Where they will try to rob you because you don't speak Spanish and your card has dollars or euros. I do not recommend this place to...

Place looks nice, but food is below average and they rip tourists off. I ordered a Burrata Iberica salad. They didn't have burrata, so the waiter tried to make me order a different salad, one of which contained parmesan, so I asked to have Burrata Iberica with parmesan instead of burrata. He brought me that, but also without prosciutto, so now there were 2 ingredients missing in a salad with 4 ingredients. Also parmesan wasn't a real parmesan, it was some vaguely similar lower quality cheese. However, they charged me the same price. When i questioned it, he kept insisting that I got Burrata Iberica, although one ingredient was completely missing and the other was of a much lower quality. I been there on a sunday afternoon, near 3pm. Only 3 tables occupied in the place. The waiter fully focus on chatting with their coworkers, not even pay attention on service. That's why I had to make signals to tell the manager on duty that I need service, both times ignored me completely, even when I know he saw me, he not even tell the waiter that I need service. I didn't order any special food, the menu options are the average as every restaurant in buenos aires, sandwiches, milanesas, salads. Very expensive, for the same price you can get the same food in other places in the same area of the city. In this country is cultural to leave tips and I been working in the service industry for 20 years, I completely understand the value of this.
