I came here for dinner with my girlfriend for our 11-month anniversary, and it was totally worth it. We both ordered the Koeru Tour, a 7-course menu where once you're done you can repeat any of the steps and/or just keep the sushi coming.

The courses were:

  1. Salmon Onigiri: really good, if not mind-blowing. I'd have started with something less hefty, like a miso soup.

  2. Spring Rolls: the low point of the menu. They weren't bad, just not as good as the rest of the food, and kinda greasy.

  3. Nigiris: excellent, both the traditional ones and the Peruvian/Japanese fusion ones.

  4. Gyoza: amazing. The dough was good but not exceptional, but the filing... OMG, the filing! Best gyoza I've had in ages.

  5. Poke salad: very, very good, if a bit too filling for a multi-step menu (too much rice).

  6. and 7) Maki sushis, all of them exceptional. The ones with stronger Peruvian influence were probably my favorites.

To drink we had a lemonade with mint and ginger (which my girlfriend liked a lot, and I found just OK: the taste felt stale, like the mint and ginger were soaking in the lemonade for too much time), and later I had a red IPA from a brand I didn't know which turned out to be pretty good.

The staff was amazing, very courteous and friendly. The atmosphere is really cool, lots of street art and neon lights.

Overall, I don't think you can find a better sushi place in Buenos Aires outside the ridiculously expensive ones meant for...

Interesting experience. No plan to repeat it. We didn't have a reservation but were able to be seated quickly. The staff weren't friendly and certainly not helpful. One of the male waiters at the end of our experience was helpful, after he apologized for the previous server's mistakes. The restaurant was busy but not crowded. We were unable to order all-you-can-eat without a reservation. The menu is accessible with a qr code. The menu has pictures and descriptions. We ordered the 20-piece omakase and two rolls. We asked the waitress what comes in the omakase, and unlike Japanese restaurants which tell you which types of things you'll receive, at this restaurant it is a surprise; you don't know if it'll be nigiri or rolls. We told the server we preferred nigiri since we were already ordering rolls. An appetizer of fried carrot balls arrived first. It wasn't flavorful. We received no nigiri and only 15 pieces of omakase. It included three pieces of salmon sashimi. The salmon tasted great. It had some kind of sesame oil coating. In truth, everything tasted similar due to an abundance of sauces. There was also too much rice. The rolls were very chewy. I would have preferred nigiri or sashimi to the rolls. I appreciate and understand the concept of omakase. ...

Gracias 🫂
