Cash Only. Restaurant does that accept credit or debit cards despite having AMEX sign at the register. They have a "Sign" to inform customers which is a handwritten note on the register which you would walk right past and not notice. Server did not inform us of this cash only requirement and we only found out when the check was due. We had to scramble between the group and ended up paying in USD then the server demanded a tip. The pizza was alright despite menu stating it's the best in Buenos Aires. Empanadas were good and fries were alright, but very plain. Additionally, they were out of lemonade and all fruit for smoothies despite having many smoothie options on the menu. In summary, I would not recommend due to the average food, mediocre service, insufficient inventory, and seriously poor communication of cash...

It is our second time at La Torre de Retiro, and we are definitely going to come back. The first time we had a big pizza with pouring mozzarella (which you can see on our YouTube channel). This time we had an afternoon snack. J asked for a bottle of beer, that he had to pour himself, and he was perfectly able to do so. Nunca me percate del lugar a pesar de haber pasado infinidad de veces por vereda de enfrente andando en bici. Vimos una nota en la tele y tomamos nota con mi Sra para pasar si o si. A pesar de haber almorzado en las mesas de afuera no recomendable, la fugazzetta es muy pero muy buena rozando los 10 puntos, la faina es generosa y buen sabor, y las empanadas de carne impresionantes, con porción de pizza + faina + 1 empanada estás de 10 y es demasiado. La empanada es de más que generosa, buen sabor, jugosa de relleno fresco y abundante. Próximamente probaremos otros platos. Los mozos 10 puntos, super amables y no demoraron en traer el pedido y expeditivos también para traer la cuenta. El mozo del sábado un crack. Los precios aumentaron, 2 porciones de fugazzeta rellena que es sin dudas la mejor de Buenos Aires por encima de los clásicos de la fugazzeta que quedan muy muy atrás, por lejos la mejor #1, una gaseosa de 1.75lts, 2 faina y una empanada frita $2000 al 09/07/2022. Pero lo vale para pasar un buen momento con una excelente pizza.
