Meme's Cakes is a very cozy looking hut on the main street of El Chalten that offers hikers a warm and small place to get some tea, coffee or something sweet. The ambiance is very relaxing and open to everyone. The service is amazing, very attentive and quick. The staff does a great job of making sure guests are having a good time and everything is okay. She is very transparent and helpful whenever you need it. If you have any questions you can ask the owner as she is knowledgeable about the different trails and hikes.
The portions are very big which is always lovely in Argentina. The cakes looked really tasty and you get big slices! The hot chocolate with cream is very sweet so be mindful about that but I enjoyed it a lot! The cheesecake with berries is tasty as well. The only thing that took me by surprise was the Croque Monsieur which was very sweet...it felt like it was made with cream instead of bechamel sauce, it had an interesting taste which isn't suited for me but I can see others enjoy it.
I think the service carries the review a lot. Despite doing it all with the two of them, we we got everything very fast. It was a very pleasant experience. A respectable and solid 3.5 ⭐

Deserts and lattes were reasonably priced for the thick mugs and delicious cookies! I have to recommend the chocolate cookie with white chocolate heart to all chocolate lovers. Yumm!
The only issue is we were a bit disappointed with how expensive the price of tea was. It scared us off from ordering one to even try it. Priced at 7500ARS in 2025 felt abnormally high even for premium tea blends.
