Lahmajun Gaidz — Restaurant in Yerevan

My one star review is based solely on the last minutes of our stay. We (a group of 3) recieved a bill with two unusual amounts in it. When we asked the lady at the desk, she said that the price for the salad is 1200 instead of 1000 (which was the price written on the English menu that I used to order my food), and that they forgot to change the price on my menu. Also, they add a 15% percent service fee on top of the rest. We were surprised, because in every other restaurant we went to, the percentage is 10%. Moreover, in Lahmajun Gaidz they do not say that on the menu! It felt like a scam! The food is ok, nothing special. We wanted to enjoy out stay there, but the final chapter of our lunch ruined it for...

My girlfriend and I went to this place the day we arrived in Yerevan because it was recommended in the Lonely Planet guide and super well noted on Google. This is a really small restaurant where you can find 5-6 tables. The waitress (and owner, I think) is really friendly and helped us chose what to order. We had 2 lahmajun (thin dough with beef and spices as well as vegetables on the side) and a salad. It was simple and delicious. We even ordered another lahmajun after that 🙂. We were welcomed with big smiles and the mesmerizing smell of bread in the making 😍 We ordered to go for 4 people and the food was ready in timely manner ♥️ My personal favorite was the Zaatar Manoushe - tasty and crunchy/moist dough with fresh zaatar 🤩 Since we took our order to go as shown in the last picture, I added some labneh to the Zaatar Manoushe and it was SUPER!
