Ordered the “Happy Hens” (eggs on toast, pretty much) with bacon. Even with the cafe full, it arrived in under 15 minutes. As I was about to tuck in, the waitress said ‘the chef sends his apologies for one of those eggs and we’ll bring another one out for you’. I was a bit nonplussed, until I noticed one of the eggs was slightly perforated and a little bit of yolk was peeking through.

Absolutely not a big deal and I would happily have eaten it as-is, but the chef had taken it upon himself to ensure the best experience possible. This was incredibly impressive. A small, seemingly insignificant act, but to me it showed a chef with high standards, who cares about what he does. The food itself was excellent, and the staff were welcoming, friendly and efficient.

Too often in the Australian hospitality scene, you come across businesses and staff who act as if it is a privilege to dine with them, and we as customers should be grateful the business is allowing us to eat there. Not so at Pavé. We left there feeling that this is a business which, even when it is busy and presumably doing well, genuinely values its customers. Will...

Visited this cafe while on The Parade looking for a place to have a coffee ☕ The tables outside were occupied and even though it seemed busy inside the cafe, there were plenty of seats available. The cafe has a very rustic feel to it, which is very relaxing but also makes it seem a lively place. You need to go up to the counter and place your order; which is then brought over to your table when it is ready. The caffè latte was very good and the service excellent. The man who brought the coffee also served me a glass of water without being requested 👍

The decor is very nice and this cafe seems to be quite a popular place. As I was leaving I noticed that there were quite a few people at the entrance waiting to be shown to their seats. Would love try out their food menu next time I am in the neighbourhood. Can definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice cup of coffee ☕ in a relaxed...

I had the smashed avocado on toast with two poached eggs this time around, but have been to Pave several times for brunch and have never been disappointed. The smashed avo was fresh and a solid serve, the addition of the mint and radish also took the flavour profile to that next level and gave the dish an element of freshness. My only criticism was that the eggs were slightly over poached. They weren’t bad, but the edge of the yolk was hard boiled.

Pave always do well with any classic brunch menu item. They also do really well with their coffees and have never been disappointed and always get my caffeine hit.

I think one of the selling points for pave is its outdoor vibe. Everything is under cover in a patio like area which gives the venue a really unique ambience.

A lovely relaxing atmosphere and decor. Really nice staff who are happy you are there. Pavé is the ONLY nice cafe for brunching on the entire West strip of the Parade, (Norwood council needs to tend to this). The food was more affordable than I expected, but this is because the serving was rather small. (I had the Good Waffles). It tasted good and was presented well. Good coffee, too. A little warm since it’s outside/ not air conditioned. I like the array of Adelaide entertainment booklets. Good to see the owners supporting the local arts. I will definitely come back with friends, soon. :)
