Beach Burrito Co has been in Glenelg for quite a while now,- and it’s usually quite busy . Wanted an early dinner before we headed off to the Fringe and felt like something light . The inside has lots of booths downstairs and a few high tables outside looking onto the street - haven’t been upstairs as yet . There’s strings of lights and huge overhead ceiling fans to try and recreate the atmosphere of a beach shack . I ordered the GF Karate chicken , which comes with a jalapeño sauce ( I asked for the chipotle sauce as jalapeño is a little hot for me and they readily obliged . The small tacos were half price ( maybe because it was happy hour ) and I ordered one of those as well - the beef barbacoa, which is the slowed cooked beef with salsa roja , onion and coriander. The chicken was nice and moist with an audible crunch to the coating , and the beef had a bit of kick - plenty of flavour for me . Unfortunately the accompanying coleslaw had no flavour - it let down the dish . My friend had the OG chicken with guacamole with she really enjoyed- she’s not into spices so it was fresh rather than hot. I had a Happy Hour Margarita - the slushie one , which was premixed and quite sweet , but not too bad . The tables were slightly sticky which was not good - but the staff were accommodating and casually friendly which matched the character of the place . Still trying to figure out whether the tacos were half price because it was Happy Hour - if so , I’ll come back and get some more .

Went here for lunch yesterday. The virgin mojito was great, as were the chips. The mains were a bit lacklustre & the overall atmosphere wasn’t great. The chairs / tables were really sticky too. We also tried originally ordering on the phone as directed and after placing our order we got a notification saying it failed? Had to go to the bar to sort it where other people were gathered, looking they were having the same issue too. When I went to order, the waitress wasn’t the friendliest and said that they’ve been having issues all day. It would have been nice if she mentioned this before we were sat down at a table, as this would have influenced us ordering in the first place or not. Wouldn’t be back after the customer experience and average food but at least we knocked it off our list on places to try I guess.

This place came recommended, and it was ok. But I think when considering Mexican, you have to be more than just ok for me to return, because there's so much competition out there. The food sounded promising on the menu, but was a little underwhelming when we received it. Nothing really blew us away. It felt expensive also...$17.50 for Jalapeno poppers and $8.50 for a (smallish) basket of fries. The tacos were reasonable at $5.00, and they were just ok, so I guess they were priced correctly. We ordered Margaritas, at $20 each, which tasted premixed. My partner also had a watermelon cocktail slushy which looked good, but a little sweet for my liking. Overall, it was ok! Can't fault it, but wouldn't rush back.

Do you want the best possible service, and matching amazing Mexican food? If you answered yes to both of these, then Beach Burrito Company is for you!

First up. Let's talk service. I was working nearby and placed an online order to pick up my tasty treat for lunch. Unbeknownst to me, their internet ordering was unfortunately down (It's Australia, of course our internet is sub-par and unreliable). When I popped in to grab lunch they were apologetic and assured me they would get onto my order. They took my number down and informed me that in 15 - 20 minutes they would call me and let me know, as I had to return to work. Eagerly watching my phone for lunch, I could barely contain my excitement. It was at that moment that my heart sang! Instead of calling me to come and pick it up, they walked my order to me and personally delivered it with a smile! Can you beat that service? I don't think you can.

Now let's talk food. My goodness. I was wise enough to order a serve of chicken taquitos, and a Baja Fish Burrito (with rice swapped for chips, of course). The taquitos were well balanced and full of flavour, warming me up for the main course! The fish in the burrito was cooked perfectly, with beautiful sauce and flavour!

If you want an excellent meal and matching service, I highly recommend Beach Burrito...

Food, taste wise and Quality wise was not bad.

Tables were kinda sticky...not sure its material or humidity close to beach but definitely need so.e attention.

Atmospher was very dull...like a quiet place...no greetings, no smiles...one good thing that staff was courteous while approched them to ask something but still very cold at the same time. With vegan burrito not sure what sauce was on plate for decoration. Also menu need more details, not sure of this but oprion for 'fresh Juice' was also not clear that what fruit's juice is available on the day or being served (i could have ask it though, but seems like there must be something more detail with this item).

Even while leaving I said "thanks guys" but no one replied, no one was bothered...lol..

Ordering through app was giving some problem, no real answer why it was doing that...app needs to be better... crew didn't have a clue about it.

Its a very honest review, I hardly give rating below 4. I feel bad to write such a big review but I guess every input, every feedback matters, if there is anything to correct in my review please let me know. Wish you all the best. And hope you do great business and provide great...
