Value for money? Nope! Not for me.
What happened? We wanted to try this when passing by it the area.
Ordered both the large sizes which you would expect the ingredients are all evenly proportioned as if you ordered the small size. (That’s my expectation.)
We ordered (large size) firecracker chicken with egg fried rice $21.95 chinese combination with thin noodle $20.95
The food looked ok (from above) when we received it in the box. (I didn’t expect much with the presentation when you get it in takeaway boxes.) It looked like it was generous amount (- yes but…..)
Trying the food, it was disappointing. Both were too salty.
Firecracker chicken with egg fried rice: fried rice was bland but it was even out with the chicken’s sauce oil used was most likely a used oil (not fresh oil) chicken was only one layer at the top and the rest was just rice NO EGG! (But it stated with egg fried rice.) I only realised it after eating almost half of the food fried rice was only with a little peas and bean sprouts
Chicken combination noodle: what should be in the dish was: Char siu pork, chicken, beef, prawn and shrimp with thin canton noodles, bean shoots, capsicum, carrot, bok choy, onion and garlic in oyster sauce received the dish with NO charsiu pork, NO been shoots, NO capsicum food was overly salty that you cant even eat it by itself (we ended up bringing it home and ate it with rice.) noodle was a lot more than its proportioned compared to the proteins and vegetables only a few amount of bok choy at the top and nothing in the...
Read moreAbsolutely the worst food experience I’ve ever had. I ordered from Noodle Box Glenelg and was shocked at the quality. It was immediately clear the food was cooked using old, overused oil — everything was burnt, greasy, and tasted awful. The rice was clearly old and reheated, dry and clumpy, and the overall flavor was just terrible.
It honestly felt like I was served leftovers from the previous day, not freshly prepared food. This is completely unacceptable, especially for the price being charged. I didn’t expect fine dining, but I did expect edible food that’s cooked properly and safely.
I won’t be ordering from here again unless serious improvements are made.
This not only ruined my meal but also made me concerned about food safety and hygiene standards being maintained at your outlet.
As a paying customer, I expected a fresh, tasty, and satisfying meal – especially from a brand like Noodle Box, which is known for quality. Instead, I was left completely dissatisfied and upset.
Given the poor quality of the food and my unpleasant experience, I am requesting a full refund or suitable compensation. I believe this is a fair and reasonable request, considering the circumstances.
Please let me know how you intend to resolve this issue. I am happy to provide photos of the meal or further details if needed.

Read moreEvery meal was a 10/10!! I just took my family for lunch. My wife, 9yr, 5yr, 3yr and myself. We got a wide selection of food and every single thing was perfect. Noodles - great serving size, generous with meat items, sauce perfectly balanced, not too much or overpowering Dumplings - pan fried perfectly with great flavoured fillings Chicken - this was a big surprise. The chicken was tender and juicy inside and outside was so crunchy and tasty. The chips were super crunchy and the meal was bigger than expected. The staff were all very friendly and had smiles on their faces. If I had to be picky the only downside would be the courtyard. It's a great idea and can be a great space but at our visit it was being used more like a stock and garbage storage area. Just a couple of screens in front of the bins and even the stock supplies could be put up against a wall would make the space feel more inviting... again that's if I had to be super picky because we ate out there and still enjoyed the space and food. Definitely going to visit again when we...
