What an absolute joke and disappointment of a "dessert" restaurant.
For context, I paid $16.20 for the "Snickers Waffle" and added banana for $4.
What I received: a SINGULAR STORE BOUGHT unheated waffle, with approximately a teaspoon of peanut butter and melted chocolate, no caramel sauce despite it being part of the item, a scoop of clearly cheap ice-cream that has freezer burn and was incredibly icy. As for the Snickers element that the item is named after? There was - and I am being generous here - MAYBE a SIXTH of regulars Snickers bad at most.
As for the added banana for $4? I would be lucky if there was even a quarter of a normal size banana added to the dish.
One of the worst food experiences I have at a restaurant that claims to provide items of quality.
What a sad, disappointing experience that clearly stems from a lack of care from the owners. If I was the owner of this restaurant I would be utterly embarrassed to serve such poor quality food and at this price point.

Read moreI used to love coming to Chocolatree years ago after they first opened. Unfortunately I have found the food to no longer be competitive with other local dessert businesses as their dishes have not advanced with the years. To me, a good waffle should be spongy/airy and crispy on the outside. The waffles at Chocolatree were dense and dry. The flavour was bland and almost tasted stale. The vanilla icecream that came with the waffle was icy and did not taste of high quality nor was it creamy or 'custardy' in flavour (didn't taste homemade). I also had a fresh watermelon mint juice. This was nice and refreshing, however not enough to return for alone. The staff were very friendly. The venue has a nice cosy vibe. However unfortunately I came here to have a waffle with some friends and the overall vibe was that the quality was no longer competitive with other dessert locations. These are my...
Read moreWe booked a table for Saturday the 20th (weeks in advance for my aunties birthday) although the food was delicious the service was in my opinion ridiculous! We were given a $22.50 minimum for each person (which applied for my 6 year old who didn't eat much at all) and only allowed to order one food item and one drink each. After we had spent $157 on our food and 3 of us were still mid way through our shakes we were asked to leave so they could put people waiting on our table. I understand there are certain restrictions in place due to covid19 and I'm all for that, I just feel it's rude to ask us to leave when we are mid way through our shakes (which we had no other choice but to leave on the table) we had pre-booked to give them plenty of notice. Look after the paying customers you have instead of trying to make more money and get more people in. I won't be in a rush to go back purely...
