BAD…BAD….BAD
On February 14th, I visited St. Louis with my two puppies and, unfortunately, had a very disappointing experience.
Before entering a café, I asked a waitress if someone could take my order outside since I had my puppies with me. She assured me that it was fine to go inside and place my order. Following her instructions, I went in, but when I reached the counter, the staff member there told me that dogs were not allowed inside. I explained that I had checked before entering, but she responded with a rude expression.
I then offered to place my order from outside if someone could assist me. She told me to use the QR code and then asked for my table number. I pointed to the first table outside on the left, but she insisted I provide the exact number. When I said I didn’t know, she told me to go outside and check. This was frustrating—if I wasn’t allowed inside with my puppies, why was I expected to leave and return just to confirm a table number? As a staff member, she should have either known the table numbers or been able to check a floor plan.
The entire experience was disappointing, and I decided to leave. Before leaving, I asked another waitress for the name of the staff member I had interacted with, but she said she didn’t know. It seemed odd that she wouldn’t know the name of her own colleague.
I have visited this café many times and have always had a good experience, especially with the Asian staff, who are consistently kind and helpful. However, this was my first negative encounter, and it left a very bad impression. If the establishment does not prioritize customer service and respect, it may struggle to retain...
Read moreIf I could give this place zero stars I would.. We definitely won’t be coming back after our awful experience. We placed an order for 4x hot chocolates and a coffee frappe which came to over $60, the lady even repeated the order but we only received 2 of the hot chocolates. They said there was a glitch with the system and if we want the other 2 hot chocolates we had to pay additional for it as they only charged us for two. We then said it’s not our issue you had a glitch with your ordering system and since we now have to wait for you to make them we shouldn’t be charged which the lady agreed to. We thought it was all sorted when William, the manager appeared at our table who was incredibly rude and seemed irritated. Instead of apologising for the issue we encountered with our order and resolving it professionally, he was condescending and said it wasn’t a human error it was a system issue and we needed to pay. Even after receiving the money he continued to yell at us even when we asked him nicely to leave our table as we paid for their error. It’s clear that he has no idea how to handle customers, and it completely ruined our night. For the price and the absolute terrible customer service from William we will never...
Read moreToday we went to St Louis house at 9pm. One of their unfriendly and not helpful Indian male staff told us that 9 people is too many to sit indoor although there’s two emptied tables were available. The staff was not knee on assisting us to put more chair but keep saying no, not available. That staff kept asking us to buy more ice cream or other food seems he was trying to upsell us to buy more. After an hour later, another Asian male staff came to told us to leave as there’s too many people waiting. Even thought there are plenty of outdoor sitting we found it odd that they ask us to leave. We also notice that we are the only table that ask to leave. It was unpleasant ask to leave even everyone purchased their food, ice cream and drinks. At no time were we told there was a time limited for a table. I would suggest they should put a sign on to notify customer if there’s a time limited for each table or minimum purchased amount on each bill. Feeling not being welcome & I would not recommend my friends to visit this shop again! It is disappointing I have been to many St Louis coffee shops and the service of this shop is surprisingly terrible :( (other St...
