Cibo Espresso — Restaurant in Adelaide

The last place you'd expect the staff to have a rude offhand attitude is in a hospital and yet that has been my direct experience here. Order a beverage that is listed on the board, only to be charged extra for it; not wishing to quibble I waited for delivery of said beverage and discovered the order had been incorrectly taken. When I brought it to the attention of the staff I mentioned that this must be why I'd been over-charged but was told the two drinks were the same price. I explained, not according to the price list here, pointing to the board. The staff checked and muttered 'oh right' but offered nothing by way of an apology. Such attitude is off putting anywhere, but in a fairly busy hospital it comes over as extremely arrogant. They have the market cornered so why should they care. I certainly won't be back. With signs all around announcing abusive behaviour will not be tolerated in this environment the irony is not lost on me. I didn't bother to ask for the difference; that coin is an investment on my future. I know now to avoid this horrible...

The coffee was fine, however I order a toasted crossiant and specifically asked for it to only go in the sandwich press definitely not into the microwave. Unfortunately it was not in the sandwich press long enough. I returned to the counter and politely asked for ot to go back into the sandwich press a bit longer as it was not even warm inside. The guy working they was not happy and then put it in the microwave and then back in the sandwich press. When I got the crossiant it was hard as a rock and inedible and I threw it in the bin. I am in the hospital visiting my husband who has cancer and I thought this was a simple request. This after all is a customer service business and a crossiant in a microwave completely ruins it. ROYAL ADELAIDE HOSPITAL CIBO....Get to the counter 6 minutes before closing... get looked at and acknowledged. 10 minutes later she walks around the corner with the shutter pole (sorry we're closing).... waste of 10 minutes of my time. How bloody arrogant. Glad not to give you my money. Even happier that when I walked away saw a mouse jump out of your counter display after gnawing on the display food. Forget it. Eat here.... at least you can have your stomach...
