last night me and a couple of my friends visited Harry's Bar for my girlfriends birthday. The overall atmosphere resembled the classic Australian bar, footy on the tele, a couch to rest your legs after a long day at work and the sound of chitter chatter from happy customers. I would have liked for a waiter to come and take out orders instead of us asking for the menu and ordering our food at the bar, not too much of an issue but the menu was also quite confusing to navigate. I had ordered a $19 chicken schnitzel with $7 Aussie toppings that included chips and a salad. The schnitzel was quite well cooked but the toppings came at a disappointment, the barbecue sauce was quite overpowering and the toppings weren't well spread over the food, in preference I quite liked egg as it came evenly cooked towards everyone's preferences in conclusion. The night went on and went on and we enjoyed ourselves I believe that a little more improvement could go a long way for Harry's bar I just don't think that $26 is a worthy price for what...

-4 stars for service. Unfortunately last visit was soured by a barmaid whose accusing tone was unjustified and misinformed, but apparently acting on the owners instruction(?). While it was very busy and mistakes made, it was obvious she had the wrong person. The behavior was witnessed by the whole table, who were just as perplexed as no explanation was given. While our event was due to finish, there's no need for this behaviour and it soured the experience and venues reputation. I would question suitability of this venue for future events, without some...
Read moreFantastic place to go to..i cant talk about the food as we were at a private function on the 1st floor..but the nibbles which came round were unbelievable. .really nice...the bar staff and the waiting girls were great...only fault i found (and nothing can be done about this ) is...my wife is in a wheelchair. .there is a lift to the next floor but to get into the building on the ground floor,she had to get out of the wheelchair and physically walk up 7 or 8 steps to get onto the ground floor...very difficult for her...plus once on the 1st floor, if she needed to go to the toilet..she had to walk down about 20 odd steps...that was the only complaint...luckily she didnt need to go....but highly recommend...
