I'd lean more towards 3.5 than the 3 I've given but that wasn't an option. This place was relatively quiet when we went, so not sure if that was the reason behind the extremely fast service. It was great service too. Onto the food.. we ordered salt and peppered squid and char siu pork with pickled vegetables which was on the specials board, pork and cabbage dumplings, soup dumplings and rice. All the food was fresh and hot when we ate it (not lukewarm like other places), so that was really refreshing. The squid came our first and it was alright, very tender and the flavours were soft and complementing, I think I just prefer a crispier batter. Secondly the pork and cabbage dumplings came out and were in a bed of soy sauce and vinegar. I've not had dumplings with vinegar before so it really through me and I think the vinegar was way too overpowering for my liking. The char siu pork came our and it was aaaaaaammazing. The pork was so sweet and tender, it just melts in your mouth. If there's a dish to try here, it whatever has char siu pork in it! The soup dumplings was slightly disappointing. I think the dumplings may have broken a little or the soup in the dumplings must have been absorbed into the dumpling because there wasn't too much in it to enjoy. I did enjoy my experience here and would come back fro the char siu in a different meal option...

We stumbled upon this cozy little spot while out with the kids for lunch! Our children were absolutely thrilled and declared it their new favorite place.

We ordered some Thai Fried Chicken and a steaming hot Clay Rice dish. Every single bite was like a burst of unexpected flavors that made our taste buds dance with joy.

But the star of the show? The Honey Charsiew pork tossed noodle – trust me, it's a must-try! We were so eager to devour it that we forgot to snap a photo.

The food here blends Malay and Thai flavors in the most delightful way. We liked it so much that we came back for takeout the very next day.

Here's a friendly tip: don't forget to snap some pics of these scrumptious dishes before digging in. They not only taste fantastic but also look Instagram-worthy.

In a nutshell, this unassuming eatery won us over with its delicious offerings. If you're in the mood for some mouth watering Malay and Thai cuisine, give it a shot – you'll be leaving with happy hearts and...

Lucky Dumpling and Noodle in North Adelaide is an absolute gem. My husband and I ventured in, longing for a taste of Hainanese chicken rice, and what a delight it was! Every bite sang with flavour, perfectly balanced and utterly satisfying. The price? Remarkably reasonable, the best value I’ve seen in ages for this dish and portion size was generous.

The restaurant had a lovely, calm buzz to it; busy enough to show its popularity but not overwhelming. The atmosphere was serene, a perfect setting to savour the meal. The food arrived astonishingly fast, and each mouthful was a testament to their skill in the kitchen.

The staff were warm and welcoming, adding to the charm of this spot. I’ve found my new favourite place for Hainanese chicken rice, and I can’t wait to return. Lucky Dumpling and Noodle, you’ve truly set the bar high. Five well...

Another good discovery hunting for Malaysian Chinese food near the city. This has more varieties to try out while the dishes were nice enough for us to come again. Hainanese Chicken Rice was on par. Stir-fried radish cake was up to standard - crusty outside and soft inside - could be better if more tasty. We liked 煎釀三寶湯米粉 (Stuffed veggie (tofu/eggplant/etc) in rice vermicelli soup). Again we went in around 2pm so it wasn't that busy. Second visit - Chicken Dry noodles - also good. Beef Keay Teow was good. Seasoning with chilli paste was good but I used soy sauce for a more Cantonese taste, equally good. Colour of the stir-fried rice noodles would be better if they consider dark soy sauce.
