No idea where everyone is getting the idea that this pizza is acceptable, good chance your local hole in the wall takeaway pizza joint that throws in a garlic bread and 1.5 litre coke does a better job. If the owner is reading this, the takeaway is; pizza bases can be thin, they can be crispy, but they have to have substance. Melt's bases are like pita bread that's just been toasted to a crisp, zero substance, flavour, or texture. I imagine people are being won over by the toppings, which addmittedly are of decent quality, but the foundation of a pizza is its base, followed by the sauce. If a restraunt that specialises in pizza cannot master the basic foundation of a pizza, the experience is invalidated irrespective of the toppings used. There are many, maaannnyyy places that are a stones throw away from Melt that make embarssingly better pizza for similar or CHEAPER.

Their non pizza dishes are nothing to write home about, service was lacking, yet the pricing is steep. It's a shame, because it's a prime location and has...

5 stars for the pizza because it was delicious! However overall rating is 2 stars as I had a poor dining experience. Had a booking and my friend was 15 minutes late. I was asked by a waitress if I wanted drinks while I waited, which I politely declined as I’d order once my friend arrived. Every 3 minutes she would approach me again and ask the same thing which was frustrating and suffocating!

At the end of the night when we were to pay, my friend’s card was declined as she had the money in the wrong account- and the same waitress who was billing us was very condescending about it when it happened, speaking to my friend in a judgemental tone... We have never experienced customer service like this before and it was appalling.

Will not go here again due to poor service, however may visit the Henley restaurant instead.

If you don’t care about service and like good pizza go ahead and eat here because their pizzas...

I took my girlfriend into the CBD Melt last night, the service was great, her pizza was great she had the Albondingas. But I personally had the El Diablo and thought it was mediocre. I prompted to ask to have the anchovies removed as I don't like them and found the pizza had minimal topping as well as it having minimal sauce and cheese. Being the fact I am a pizza critic I was truly disgruntled by this. The only reason I put this rating as 3 stars not 2 stars was because the service was nice and friendly, and because my girlfriends pizza had a exactly what she ordered, it had plenty of topping and was tasty. Personally, I wouldn't want to go back there and invest 25 dollars into a pizza I can be paying 10-15 dollars for, regardless of the gourmet and different...

Outcome is dependant on what you order. I am not a Gnocci fan but what the kitchen produced was outstanding. Chicken wings, seasoned well with a good flavour combo and crispy. Kransky with potato salad, nothing to ride home about, exactly how you would imagine taste wise. Hommus, generous serving, good taste and filing. Hollumi, tasty. Pizzas tasted good but the egg for me was a miss on the mushroom / truffle pizza. Wouldn't go out of my way for pizzas though. Service was goodish... seemed to have some new staff members training which confused glasses of wine vs a bottle of wine... ended up with the more expensive Shiraz bottle too, and an additional glass of wine. Enjoyable experience overall.

Had a table of 20 with the shared tapas and pizza. Most of the tapas options were tasty and there was a good variety but portions way too small for the number of people we had. They were gone within seconds. Pizza course took a while to come out but this time there was enough for everyone and a decent amount of leftovers too. I liked the variety of being able to try 5-6 items off the menu, but it was a little expensive for what it was. Service was great but a little slow.

Wow, this was the best pizza I’ve had in a long time. A lot of options to choose from, ended up going with the Patatas and The 38. Everything about both was perfect, from the base to the ingredients complementing each other nicely. They also had a lot of tapas on offer. We didn’t try but noticed a lot of the other customers did with some not even ordering pizza. Wine list was more than sufficient.
