Satang Thai — My All-Time Favourite Thai Experience! Finally, the moment I’ve been waiting for: Satang Thai has opened its doors in Adelaide! This restaurant holds a special place in my heart — I fell in love with their food back in Sydney, and I’m honestly delighted I can now enjoy it right here in Adelaide. Satang Thai stands out as the best in the game when it comes to delivering rich, authentic Thai flavours alongside warm and welcoming service. From the moment you walk in, you’re made to feel at home — the restaurant’s ambiance is cozy, comfortable, and perfectly set up for a lovely meal with friends or family. Some of my all-time favourite dishes make a comeback here in Adelaide. The salt and pepper soft shell crab is crispy, perfectly seasoned, and simply melts in your mouth — it’s pure happiness with every bite! The hoisin duck is another highlight — so tender, rich, and filled with deep, complex flavours that linger on your taste buds. I was also delighted by their crispy fried barramundi, which is beautifully complemented by a classic sweet-and-sour Thai salad — a perfect balance of texture, acidity, and depth. And I honestly can’t go past their pineapple fried rice — it’s a riot of colours and flavours, with a wonderful blend of sweet, salty, and umami that I can’t even adequately describe. All I can say is: you must try it for yourself! The customer service at Satang Thai is, as always, a big part of its appeal. The team is attentive, helpful, and welcoming — you’re treated more like a guest than a customer. All in all, I’m so happy that Satang Thai is now in Adelaide. It’s a restaurant I’ll be returning to again and again — a true favourite for a wonderful dining experience!

This new Thai restaurant recently opened in the CBD, and it's certainly one of the best I’ve been to. I’ve tried their food a few times, and it has never disappointed. They offer a unique menu with a wide range of dishes that I haven’t seen at other Thai restaurants. My personal favourites are the Pad Thai and the spicy fried rice — both had authentic flavours. They also adjust the spice level based on your preference; I always go for hot. However, be cautious if you can’t handle too much heat, as their chillies are very spicy. The service is excellent, fast and very attentive. The restaurant originated in Sydney, and from what I’ve observed, their approach is distinct, using impressive strategies to capture the market. The only improvement I would suggest is adding some cocktails to the drinks menu and including more dessert options. Prices are mid-range, and the portion sizes are very generous. They also offer $12.90 lunch specials, which are great value for money with plenty of variety to choose from. Overall, it’s a fantastic Thai restaurant and highly recommended.

Had an awesome meal at Satang Waymouth, can’t wait to go back! This restaurant just opened recently. I ordered the salt & pepper soft shell crab, prawn cakes, and pineapple fried rice. Every bite was full of flavor. The crab was perfectly crispy and seasoned just right and the prawn cakes were super tasty and paired well with the house made sauce. The pineapple fried rice had this perfect sweet and savory mix. Honestly, everything was delicious! What really stood out was the service. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. From the moment I entered the restaurant till I left, It was clear they genuinely cared about making sure I had a great experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, which made it a great spot to relax and enjoy my meal. The aesthetics of the restaurant was really pleasant too. It’s the kind of restaurant you can visit for a casual dinner or even a special night out. I definitely recommend this new restaurant and would be back!
