They had two fire places going in the bar, so cosy and inviting. The bar area also had an amature date board for fun. Drinks were well made and priced. Service staff were friendly and happy. We had dinner and enjoyed the barramundi, curry of the day, salt and pepper squid and a beef roll. Everyone enjoyed their meals finding the protein cooked perfectly, accompanied by a simple fresh leaf salad, that looked pretty on the plate and really nice chips. My only negative comment was my barramundi was 2 very thinly sliced pieces that even for me was not enough. It was grilled and got quiet crunchy. I left feeling hungry! Everyone had generous serves - especially the curry which we asked for extra chilli - very nice. The dining area was neat, modern, inviting and clean.

The PA is one of the last standing truly LOCAL city pubs. From wherever you may come from, the moment you walk in you feel like you're one of the bricks. Located in a somewhat residential part of the CBD, slipping into the PA feels like a time warp. Open fire places, excellent music, and a phenomenal menu that I'm slowly working my way through. I've seen the pub go through a number of hands while I've lived in the city, but the current owner clearly knows what makes a city pub work. Rotating beer of the month is fun, as is their Friday "sidewalk" spit roast and meat raffle. The PA has made city pubs fun again.

This is a cool little pub that is a shining light at night down the darkened end of Wright Street. Lovely decor and a friendly and fun atmosphere, the food though... hmm. How do you dress up boring menu items? You give the food fancy descriptions. My "Japanese" chicken katsu sandwich with yuzu mayo and shredded cabbage was, in fact, a chicken schnitzel with garlic aoli and coleslaw, between two pieces of toast. The chips (and schnitzel) had that weird burned oil(?) - slightly fishy taste. The prices are eye watering, and my bill for this "Asian" food catastrophe, $30 bucks! Good for a drink, avoid the food.

If you're on the hunt for the perfect parmy, look no further than this fantastic pub! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with friendly staff who are always happy to help you find the perfect meal to suit your tastes.

But let's talk about the star of the show: the parmys. They're simply amazing. The chicken is always cooked to perfection, tender and juicy with a delicious crispy coating that's just the right level of crunch. And the gravy? Absolutely mouthwatering. Whether you prefer traditional onion gravy or something a little more adventurous like mushroom and truffle, they've got you covered.

And it's not just the parmys that are worth raving about. The menu is packed with delicious options, from pub classics like burgers and steaks to lighter bites like salads and sandwiches. And let's not forget the drinks - they've got an impressive selection of beers, wines, and cocktails to choose from.

Overall, I can't recommend this pub enough. Whether you're looking for a delicious meal, a relaxed atmosphere, or just a great night out with friends, you won't be disappointed. Do yourself a favour, grab a parmy and a pint, and settle in for a fantastic experience that you won't...

NOVEMBER 2022 - It took nearly 2 months for the pub to respond to my review and they invited me to return and "see what they're all about". Naturally, I was eager to return and contacted the owner directly, as was suggested by them. It's now been over a month and I've tried a couple of times to communicate with them, but they have not responded and therefore I am now even more disappointed by their lack of service. I reduce my score to just 1 star!

AUGUST 2022 - I originally gave them a score of 3 stars - My review: I walked into this pub for the first time ever today. I was very impressed - it is beautiful. I asked for the fish and chips and was told it wasn't available today so I opted for the Caesar salad instead. When it arrived it baffled me that is was full of what looked like red cabbage with a tiny bit of cos lettuce. I needed to re-read the menu to check if it was mentioned but it wasn't. I had to dissect my meal because it was too bitter to eat. I mentioned it to the waitress who said she would tell the Chef and that was where it was left... I was left disappointed by my first experience,...

Have been a customer at the Prince Albert for 10 years as I work nearby. I have seen a few publicans come and go now. Just recently it had been renovated and is under new management. I have eaten there twice now since the new owners moved in and I can honestly say the food is outstanding. I went there with a big group of friends for dinner and everyone said it was the best schnitzel they’ve ever had!!! I had a steak and fries and it was so YUM!! I had lunch there today and I had salt n pepper squid and it was probably the best salt n pepper quid I’ve ever had. The tartare sauce was hand made, the squid was high quality with a nice light batter and was seasoned like nothing I’ve ever had!! even the little salad it came with had a fresh made dressing!! I have been so impressed by this place since the new owners have moved in. Give it a try, the food...
