Atmosphere is a little dull outside, hidden away and not very visible or inviting.
Bookings are essential, we were told to wait for our table (even though we booked). The table was small, cramped and not comfortable. We had 8 people and there was hardly any elbow room.
When looking at their menu it was hard as most of the varieties were in Korean, very little food information about what the dishes where.
Little vegan variety and extremely expensive. The BBQ chicken (both honey and traditional) were small sized pieces, average portion and weren't really nicely presented. Our friends ordered a hot pot and other things which were of average portions and taste.
The table was just too small to properly enjoy the meals, small uncomfortable seats and chairs, too noisy with random music in the background making it very frustrating to talk over everyone.
Food is VERY expensive for average taste, size, service wasn't up to scratch with waiters too busy on their phones at the counter to even give us table water or even napkins. That's something called courtesy. And it wasn't present in this place.
Clean overall with dim lighting, so bring a torch so you can see your food! Not impressed by them not accepting to split the bill as well.
$275 and the birthday girl had to pay it in full, then later we gave her what we had bought. Not being able to split the bill says a lot about your business, if you can't do the maths and accept splitting the bill for big groups, then why are you working in Hospitality?!
I suggest being open to splitting the bill is a great way to have lots of guests! Having to wait for a small table on a near by couch (even though you're booked), lighting needs to be less hipster and actually work to be functional.
The music was too loud, cutlery not cleaned properly and the courtesy of table water and sufficient napkins whilst dinning was not present.
Dissapointed, it has potential. But not everyone is a tiny asian, catering to everyone by having bigger tables so you can order different foods and spread them around to share without having to cram everything else in and not feel comfortable.
The seats were cheap and uncomfortable, as I said not everyone is a tiny asian with the body frame of an 8 year old. If you're going to eat good, you have to sit and feel good as to where you will spend some time hunched over a small table with a chair digging up your bum or back or a table so narrow and small you'll need to do yoga to get to your food without elbowing the person next to you.
Owners be advised, change and improve the small details before bragging you're the best. There's more to good food than just your recipes/way you cook things. It's about really enjoying the experience overall.
I see you have potential, but you're too expensive to be charging that if at first you can't deliver in both service ethics and general presentation of your 'restaurant'.
I don't think I'll come back, not unless things change. A few people understand my strong critiques because I'm blunt, honest and look at food as a gift, an art so anything associated with it and how it's run isn't just your 'typical sheeple snap chat or instagram photo opp', I'm in this because I LOVE food. Others may see this and agree, others might feel targeted. Not personal, if you are going to call yourself a restaurant and boast you are the best? -...
Read moreVery disappointed. Had been here previously and thoroughly enjoyed it but not this visit. Staff were unprofessional as we had to go to bar to get drinks, and then all 4 of us had to wave our arms around to be able to get staffs' attention to order meals. (By the way the was one other table of about 6 people!) Food reasonable but a little over priced. When it was time to pay we went up to bar and were told we could not split the bill. There was a sign at the bar which my husband saw but nothing that we saw on the menu. We did split payment, we worked out who was to pay which amount, (only 2!) and them paid by cc. The waiter told me that we couldn't pay like that, so I did say if he wanted his money this is how he would get it, so we did pay the full amount with 2 cc. Sorry, we will...
Read moreEpic. I don’t think anyone would ever regret visiting K-pub. Amazing staff, amazing food and chilled vibes. It’s hard enough to find a Korean restaurant or any restaurants infact that have more than one vegan option, let alone dedicating a whole page of the menu to vegan food. Hands down favourite place for soju and vegan Korean Fried Chicken. Oh and the Kimchi Jeon (pancake) is hands down the tastiest thing to have while drinking. There is something for everyone here, for 2-3 people don’t be scared if it is busy, you can chill in their lounge area whilst drinking some soju and waiting for a table to free up, but 4 or more generally need a reservation unless you can get there really early and get a table. But that’s a good show of how popular it is because...
