Every time I come here, the service is always a hit or miss. The waiter was kind and friendly from the start, he sat us down and told us to use the QR code to order, we ended up changing tables as we decided not to have individual pot and to have a big share pot instead. After ordering, the waitress came and put the pot onto the stove and walked off, she did not bother turning on the stove or anything and even after being nice and thanking her, she did not acknowledge and even when I was trying to get her attention after, I got ignored. The waiter then came and help me with the stove.

Food was great, we had the beef and tomato soup and it was delicious.

When we were done, we went up to the counter to pay, the waitress was there. We end up paying cash as there was slight discount applied. She dropped a $10 while calculating and told us we were short by $10 when we gave close to exact amount. We then just pointed on the $10 that fell, she got frustrated and she started scrunching the $10 up because it was folded. She had black face the whole time, I was nice and I thank her after each time she put dishes down and when she take empty dishes away. She was not friendly at all yet the waiter has came after her multiple times...

Thought we would give this a go due to the good reviews. Boy were we wrong.

First time visiting, no crash course provided or advice given - Figure it out yourself kind of attitude.

Food - average - price ok - don’t expect to spend less than $100 between two for a decent meal Soup base - not great, no experience here but the two we ordered were not great. One of them we didn’t really consume, sooo many spices. Thought I was having an allergic reaction to the base (no know allergy’s however)

Service - not great. A waiter accidentally gave us someone else’s veg, we weren’t aware and promptly put it in our pot - embarrassing and then proceeded to ask if we like the remaining items (adding to the bill) we declined. Waiter then copped it from another staff member right behind us saying to them they’ve done this before etc. Not a good feeling..

Finally atmosphere - Terrible, felt like we were being watched the whole time (not in a good way)

When we left we were insisted to take the remaining lettuce etc in a bag after declining.

Definitely prefer lazy boy, east side etc.

Could have been a one off, however just not a good...

I love hot pot style restaurants, but unfortunately there aren’t many dedicated “hot pot” dining restaurants available in Adelaide. This is one of the bette ones. Upstairs only restaurant, wheelchair accessible. Upon entry you are greeted by a the floor Manager who seats you and then table service to take your order. All greeted with smiles and prompt service. It helps if you speak Chinese as not all table staff a fluent English spoken. We had Diana and she was fantastic, and kid friendly. First select your soup base, option to half or trio of soups. Then select your meats, seafood, vegetables and vegan options for dipping. Then the go to the create your own sauces. Your order is sent through on an iPad and the staff must be connected and communicate through their ear piece or something, well organized and use of technology. Our broth was topped up promptly throughout our night. The selection variety on offer from the pictured menu is plentiful and fresh and the price is reasonable. Rest rooms are nicely...

We've been fans of Go-In Hotpot from their Hindley Street days, and continue to be at their Gouger Street location. We're so glad that they have continued to offer individual (they call it 'small') pots as well as communal ('large') pots of soup base to cook your meal in. The range of soup bases on offer is wide and wonderful. After selecting your soup base, you then select the items to drop into your soup. Almost everything you can think of for a hot pot is available, ranging from different types of meats, seafood, vegetables, mushrooms, to tofus, and noodles. And if that wasn't enough, there's a range of cooked side dishes you could order just to ensure a wide and varied diet. The staff are super helpful and attentive. It is so popular - especially with the student crowd and on weekend nights - be prepared to wait for a table. Thankfully that's all the waiting to be done, for once your order is taken, food will start dropping onto your table really quickly. Recommended.

I have never written any review before, but this time I think I have to, just to warn others. The staff (lady) was not happy when I asked how the menu work, they provided the QR scan code leading to their menu, from here we can select the dishes & place the order ourselves. However, the worst thing is that both my partner and I got the same problem with the stomach and had to visit the toilet after the meal, not even one time. Not so sure about the food hygiene or the food quality. (Before we decided to go here, I already read other reviews, one of them mentioned about this, but we still give it a try, we should have listened to that reviewer). Even now when I am writing this review, my stomach keeps making noise and feeling bad to go the toilet again. The price is costly for what we had. Anyway, I do not recommend. Right now, I’m sitting on bathroom to finish this review. If you want to give a try, you can, be aware of this situation that can be happening to you.
