Hidden Gem Alert – Authentic Uygur Cuisine in the Heart of Adelaide
Hands down, this might just be the best Uygur food you’ll find in Adelaide. We ordered the Dapanji, lamb dumplings, and a unique egg and black fungus stir-fry, all served with a fragrant pot of black tea—and every dish was absolutely packed with flavour.
The food was not only authentic but beautifully cooked and well-balanced in spice and seasoning. The Dapanji in particular was a standout—rich, hearty, and perfect for sharing. The lamb dumplings were juicy and comforting, and the stir-fry was light yet deeply savoury.
Service was quick and friendly, and the owner, who greeted us personally, was incredibly warm and welcoming, adding to the overall charm of the place.
A big plus is that they open as early as 8am, offering a variety of breakfast dishes, but you can also order their full range of main meals at any time of day. So whether you’re an early riser or looking for a delicious lunch or early dinner, they’ve got you covered.

Read moreWe were suspicious when we saw so many 5 star ratings for this place. Suspicious no more! We ordered the Nan Kazan Kawap (#1), the Tokhu Qordak (#4) and lamb dumplings (#14). The Tokhu Qordak was a dish to unite all other dishes. Not only were the hand pulled noodles so freaking amazing, but the sauce served every other dish. Dip your dumplings in that sauce. Dip your crispy bread. The Nan Kazan Kawap is joy and light in the world. Honestly, don’t go without it. The restaurant is clean, comfortable and filled with natural light. Considering myself lucky to...

We tried the fried bread lamb cumin (nan Kazan kawap) and dapanji (tokhu qordak). The best Uygur cuisine we ever had. They were made fresh. The restaurant was also clean and located in a quiet location. Will give more than 5...
