Review from a 6-year customer:
The CIBO Espresso at Rundle Place is located on the busiest street of the Adelaide CBD. In my opinion, it might be the best leisure place on the Rundle Place (the opposite hot chocolate shop is also a great place but I donât like sweet drinks, haha). You can sit down, chat with friends, enjoy nearby street performances, and feel time passes by slowly. Most employees are lovely but they are almost always busy due to the large amount of customers.
The quality of the drink is highly dependent on which barista makes it. That is, the consistency is not good. Some of them make good coffee (from the perspective of daily consume) but the coffee can sometimes become quite bitter (burnt beans) or very bland as if you are drinking a cup of diluted milk! Because of this, I reduced the frequency of purchase significantly in the last few months.
I hope the store execute better quality controls in the future, and the manager should provide sufficient trainings to the employees. Wish you all the best for your future...
Read moreThankfully the coffee is the same at every Cibo store. The same delicious taste that I love! However the customer service is clearly different at the Rundle Mall store. While Cibo staff at the other stores respond to hello and thank you, and sometimes even wish you a 'great day', the staff of the Rundle Mall store are not the best at that. The staff sometimes treat you more like a nuisance rather than a paying customer, effectively keeping their business afloat. The woman taking my coffee order seemed a little 'off' and a touch irritated about something. She has worked there forever and so I think she is perhaps a little over it. The pink-haired barista is the worst though. Basic customer service doesn't appear to be a concern for her, or even a priority for a number of the staff working here. I would give it 2 stars for service, but it is Cibo and I love their coffee. Do youself a favour and maybe go to the Gouger St or North Adelaide ones. Great service always. Just know that Rundle Mall is a bit...
Read moreIâve been having my coffee here for 2years and today I decided to 100% stop buying coffee here. I have to say that, the Rundle mall CIBO store is getting worse every month after 2023. The cibocinno used to be very nice, but sometimes I donât know why you guys just make me a normal latte while still charging me 6.80? Is it because that we are morning persons and rush to work and you can cheat on your customers? The best part is the owner of this shop, he sometimes worked here too, I have no idea why this sad âgentlemanâ is always with a super upset and impatient face. Tbh, all of the other staffs are more friendly than you, you are the owner and idk how come you always give customer a bxxch face and you doing a people...
