Not often I’m simply blown away but The Alchemist Kitchen is a culinary stop in Adelaide not to be missed. From the friendly service, food quality to the non-pretentious decor & setting, this restaurant deserves all 5 stars. Scallops were to die for but the Brik pastry just stole the show. Pizza was everything we wanted and more. (Make sure you get the sweet chilli sauce.. it doesn’t miss!) Zaatar was fresh, crispy and tasty. Slow roasted lamb was naughty. You can tell the finesse of a chef by how good the greens or the salads are… and the greens beans with molasses was the warm hug we needed after too many wines last night. The only room for improvement was the falafels. Don’t get me wrong pretty solid falafel but could have some more punch in them via way of sauce or something like that. Tidy wine list too. This fine establishment would be great for a late ladies lunch, special birthday dinner between close friends or once a week for a Cheeky takeaway if I lived in the state. The Alchemist Kitchen Will quickly become a must stop on any gastronomy tour of Adelaide

Food was good quality. The wine list is limited, and per bottle, the price is high for the quality. One thing ordered never delivered. Out of the 4 pizzas ordered the meat and wasabi, and the salami were exceptional. The yiros one was bland, and the seafood option had an unusual tasting ingredient. The bases were really delicious. Enjoyed the night and found a lot of interesting selections on the menu. Busy little place with good size tables and comfy chairs

Everything was excellent! Food, drinks & service. Best pizza's we have had in ages. Really delicious & authentic. So thrilled to have Vegan cheese available for pizza too. Crab pasta yum! Great cocktail & wine list. Our Espresso Martini's were amazing! Jess our waiter was fantastic. Congratulations to the owners, a beautiful young couple who have a great venue & wish them all the success. Cant wait to visit again. Next will be brunch ❤️

First time at the Alchemist Kitchen and we will be back!

The Wood Fire Mushroom Pizza at The Alchemist Kitchen is nothing short of a masterpiece. From the moment it arrives at your table, you’re captivated by its rustic charm and the intoxicating aroma of wood fire mingling with earthy mushrooms. The crust is a work of art—perfectly blistered, with just the right amount of chewiness and crisp edges that hint at its time in the blazing oven.

The real star, however, is the medley of mushrooms that crown this pizza. Each bite bursts with a symphony of flavors. The mushrooms are thoughtfully sautéed to bring out their natural umami, and when combined with the subtle smokiness from the wood fire, they deliver a deep, savory flavor that lingers beautifully on the palate.

Balanced by a layer of velvety, melted cheese and a drizzle of truffle oil, this pizza feels both decadent and refined. The cheese adds a luscious creaminess without overwhelming the mushrooms, while the truffle oil elevates each bite with its luxurious aroma and depth. Fresh herbs are sprinkled generously across the top, adding a burst of color and a hint of freshness that ties all the flavors together perfectly.

In every slice, the passion and creativity of The Alchemist Kitchen's chefs are palpable. This isn’t just a pizza; it’s an experience—a delightful journey through texture, flavor, and aroma that will leave you dreaming of your next visit. If you’re a mushroom lover or simply a pizza enthusiast, the Wood Fire Mushroom Pizza is an...

Very expensive wine by the glass is what I’d expect in a top restaurant, not a cafe that also does pizza, and no Sauvignon Blanc on offer. Service by one staff member was casual and we felt unimportant even though we had pre booked. We ordered the Classic salami Pizza & paid for added Prawns, it did take half an hour for a wood fired pizza….. BUT it was perfect!! We say the BEST PIZZA in Adelaide, BUT….

Then.. The manager asked “how was your meal?” “I said the pizza was the best I’ve ever had in Adelaide, but your wines are expensive by the glass”. He took that in a negative and defensive way to defend the prices. I said to him “you’ve gotta take the good with the bad and like I said you did make the best pizza I’ve ever tried in Adelaide.”

Note: if you’re not interested in your customers real opinions and you think your business is doing perfect then don’t ask, “how was your meal”!

If it wasn’t for that negative interaction from him after we were being honest. Should we as the customer just say everything was perfect? Instead by being honest you can help out businesses, understand their weak points are so that they can do better.. It’s not just about the food it’s about how you speak to the customers. So because of that we may not...

We went there on Saturday night, the girl who was serving dinner was so rude and didn’t care about costumes at all, we asked her if they have any vegan options she looks angry and annoyed! Anyway we thought she might be very tired ! It was a sign at the front door which says pleas wait here we will show you where you can site! We waited for 25 minutes! It was plenty of tables available but no one takes care of us! So we walked in asked a young man where we can to sit ? He was confused and said please wait till that girl (the anger rude girl)help you! So again we waited for more than 15 minutes! She passed us several times ! And didn’t gave us any attention! At the end I went to her and I said can we finally get a table after waiting for 45 minutes? In very rude way she said I thought you want take away not dining so go and sitting there 😐in a very rude attitude ! I need to mention it wasn’t anyone before us or even restaurant was half empty! We left the restaurant with saying nothing and very bad feeling ! I never gave any businesses bad reviews as I have business and understand sometimes things can go wrong but in this case I think the owner needs to know how the workers behave ! We never going back...
