Went for breakfast, the day before mothers day with my mum and two brothers, Arrived and it didn't look any more busy than usual. We ordered a big breakfast, breakfast sandwich bacon, eggs and a plain omelette and grilled tomatoes on the side for my mum, after an hour of waiting I decided to go and ask where breakfast was, and was told it wouldn't be long. After waiting another 20 minutes they brought out the big breakfast, breakfast sandwhich, bacon and eggs, and an omelette covered in cream, with a side of tomato sauce. After explaining the order was wrong, we were told they would remake it, and was offered free coffee. 15 minutes later, they bring out the plain omelette with toast, and tomato sauce on the side. After waiting for mum to finish I went back to grab some coffee, explained the situation and said I was happy to pay for two, the girl serving had only just started, so she said that would be fine and she would work it out with the boss. After sitting back down, I had the girl who served me in the first place, tell me that I now had to pay for the other two coffees as they couldnt give them out free, and offered me a voucher out of the Entertainment book as compensation. I was disgusted, told them they can keep the voucher and my money and we would go elsewhere. So if your looking for somewhere nice, with CLEAR communication, I would advise you go to 42nd street, really...
Read moreTwo family members and I when here for brunch this morning, ordered two serves of bacon and eggs and a breakfast burger, and Iced Chai, Skim Latte and and Iced CHOCOLATE. Our drinks came, An Iced Chai (with whipped cream and icecream?!?!) and iced COFFEE and the skim latte (🙌🙌🙌) We said we didn’t order and iced coffee but an iced chocolate and she took it back but not without some attitude first. There was no sugar available on the tables for the coffees and they didn’t ask at the counter when ordering. They brought out the iced chocolate and it was GONE in two sips, it was all ice cream and a teensy bit of milk. There was no mention of ice cream or cream on the menu for any of these iced drinks, and we ordered it with skim milk, so they should’ve asked or at least mentioned. We returned this as well and once again got some attitude from the same woman as earlier, saying she’d made it herself and the milk was full, (clearly doesn’t know that ice cream is denser that milk and makes it look fuller) so FINALLY we got and ICED CHOCOLATE with no ice cream. Then for the food, One tiny piece of toast cut in half for two eggs, hardly cooked bacon, which is dangerous, and the eggs were overcooked. Then on the breakfast burger, there was no tomato relish but it was swimming in barbecue sauce. Which is another thing, there was no sauce, or salt and pepper available. Get some...
Read moreWe just ate at the Coffee Club Elizabeth for the first time. Didn’t have high hopes to be honest as it’s not a proper sort of restaurant like we usually visit for breakfast just a little pop up so we didn’t think the food could be that good but they did not disappoint! It was packed yet service was still delivered in a good time frame and the eggs Benedict was delicious. Nice crunchy bread, dunno what they did to the bacon but it was yummo. My partner said he would have preferred two pieces of bread instead of one but I thought the one slice of bread option made the bacon and egg more tasteful and was easier to finish. Cleaned our plates. Staff were lovely too and the coffee was absolutely...
