It's nice for something different and this could be amazing but the food servings for the price weren't very good. My friend asked if we ordered "ozempic fish" because it was 2 tiny skinny bits of fish about the size of fish fingers in the $27 fish and chips. Even the chip serving was tiny for a $27 meal. For all up $285 spent on drinks and food we went to Hungry Jacks after. The drinks were really weak too. I'm not a drinker so I get tipsy from 1 drink without exaggeration and that's enough for me. 3 drinks in, I was still totally fine. I never have that many drinks usually but it was like having mocktails. I think they were also on ice rations. It was hot and the drinks were honestly warm with no ice so I had to take the drinks back to ask for ice and we got literally a few shards each. I know it's hard to run a business in this economy but I think the money paid should have afforded quite a bit better/more in food and beverage serving size. I also have to work hard for that money. The staff were friendly and very attentive. It got cool in the evening and we thought being outside they will have throw rugs. You can hire a towel for $5. That was strange to me. I also didn't like once we reached our $200 spend I had to hand over my credit card and trust strangers with it to be held at the concierge desk. I had to put a lock on my card to feel a bit safer about it. I probably won't go again. 4/10 Below average of what I expected compared to the winter igloo experience earlier this year which...

Was there today as we were celebrating our friend's Birthday. We were in a group with kids. We were having a great time as the weather was amazing and we all were in quite great mood. We ordered our drinks and were hanging around our beds. I was watching my 6 year old son who was in water and by mistake put my drink on the wooden pole that was around the boundary of the place. Once I came back to the pole I got my can of beer and was about to put in my mouth where suddenly a waitress/Staff came around and snatched the can from my hand, pushed me back and just rudely shouted, go back to your place, you cannot drink here. I was godsmaccked with the behaviour and politely asked whats the problem and she said very rudely "You were standing outside the boundary and we do not have permit to serve alcohol there" (which i understand, but there are ways to tell your customers instead of being rough, rude and rowdy with your customers). Her behaviour to any standard of hospitality was rude, and uncalled for. You should train your staff in soft skills and better customer service and should post signs all around that you cannot drink even at the boundary pole due to licensing issue or the staff should inform the patrons. Place is amazing because of the location otherwise staff is super rude, untrained cheap backpackers and security staff is a bunch of goons. I will also report this to Holdfast Bay council for the way patrons are treated there and also how untrained staff is there to impose rules and...

We bad booked one of the $200 couches before we arrived on holiday which was our mistake. We should have waited to see the weather before booking (I would recommend this to anyone thinking of going). The day of our booked was freezing cold and windy which, sitting right on the waterfront, was not a pleasant experience. I do feel like we were a bit "had" with the experience. When we first arrived, there were several patches of bird poo on our lounge, and when I told the host, we were given napkins to clean it up ourselves. It didn't feel like a very "premium" experience. The drinks were nice and the food may have been good except for the fact that it was so windy it was all full of sand. There are not toilets onsite, so you have to traipse to the public toilets (again, not a very "premium" experience). I know that this isn't the Beach Clubs fault, but there were literally 10's of seagulls flocking at the food and pooing everywhere, it was almost comical. I recommend just sitting on the free lounges if you're interested, unless its going to be a really hot day and you plan on being there for a long time. I also think that if the management had have offered us a discount for what was obviously not an enjoyable expereience, it would have been great...

Just had a few days at MBC, the staff are friendly and all lovely. The food was good but somethings could be done better, the charcuterie board, reasonably priced, - the pickled veg there’s so much of them it’s off putting and too much of the same same, the kabana in it isn’t nice, the couple pieces of cheese are a bit tasteless. The empanadas seem weird, the wrong pastry too soft, and oily, the inside filling was yum. The rocket and walnut salad lacked something, soo much walnut it was over the top needed a yum dressing. Felt like the menu lacked some fresh sweet options like fruit or a dessert that wasn’t deep fried. Especially in summer time. The music at times was boring, too slow, didn’t have that vibe, New Year’s Day was great, the rest of the week just didn’t feel fun or entertain you, which is part of the beach club vibe. The request for a credit card when you’ve gone over your limit and staff not knowing what to do if you don’t have a card on you, is something that they need to all know about. Most people don’t keep cards on them, make people pay as you go once they hit there tab or bring over a eft system to charge then and there. We enjoyed our time, would come back if in Glenelg again.

A disappointing experience at the beach club. Unusual to order at the bar, with buzzer self service when paying these prices at a beach club. I was very disappointed in my meal. This looks like half a fillet sliced into two, it was over battered, and over cooked, leaving very dry fish. The salad was wilted, soggy & slimy. No effort with presentation at all. I passed on my disappointment to staff, and was compensated a free drink. Unfortunately, this meal passed through two staff members hands showing a lack of quality control from the kitchen, and f&b attendant who handed out the meal. I would not recommend this location to my friends based on my experience.

Loved relaxing by the day beds while indulging in cocktails and a selection of seaside delights. Access to the beach, table service. Make sure you book ahead if you want a day bed. It was $100 reservation, the money is the used towards your drinks and food. Any purchases over the reservation fee will be charged at the end of the session. (Your card/credit card will be held during the service) Arrive within the booked time or else the reservation may be cancelled, call if you're running late. You can still enjoy the spot without making a reservation. There's seating available for walk ins, you'd also have to order (food or drinks) by the counter.
