Indian Spice Authentic Cuisine, Glenelg — Restaurant in Adelaide

Absolutely terrible service !!! We were a Table of 13 with guests from Canberra and Sydney we walked in and we were seated our order was taken approximately 10 mins later after being seated which was fine. 40 minutes later we had asked how much longer our order was going to take to find out that our order had not even been put through / processed into their system. Unbelievable 60 minutes !! 60 minutes later we had already been there seated and waiting and no order was put through REALLY How ridiculous !!!! Is this what to expect when dinning in GLENELG ??? Very disappointing ?? Other customers who were at the counter were also waiting and complaining about how disgusting the food was and how they had been waiting for more than 45 minutes too. Check your CCTV footage you will know exactly what night we are talking about !!! Apparently they only had 2 staff members on and a bald grumpy old man with poor communication and customer service skills who obviously had no clue on what was going on ( could be the owner who knows who cares bloody useless ) We had young children at our table waiting patiently. When questioning staff at the counter with their appalling mistake tonight they had yelled at us ( note: not just to us but to other customers who were standing there waiting ) yelling at us all and I quote “there is nothing much we can do” Firstly what about placing our order. Letting us know there is a delay or your running extremely behind orders. Give us the option, curtesy to leave instead of making us sit there for more than 50 mins making us believe our order will be served shortly. Customer service experience all time ZERO not even able to offer a jug of water… Just a bloody joke this place is such a shamble and disgrace compared to all other amazing Indian cuisine restaurants we have been too. We walked in as a party of 10 they glady accepted and sorted us a table which wasn't hard as it was quiet. We ordered our food only to be told half an hour later that they didnt have one of the meals so we changed that order, we ordered a mixture of staters and mains but for all to come togther after asking where our food is many times and waiting 2 hours it started to arrive a few meals at a time but never a complete meal and half the ordering missing, as our food had gone cold we asked again where the rest was as we would like to eat as a family. We asked to speak with the manager on serveral occasions but our request didnt happen instead they kept sending the lovely waitress who couldn't apologise enough she was truly apologetic and wanted to get it sorted for us. 2 meals were still missing after 2 and half hours and we were now informed the chef refused to cook the other food and he was to ashamed to talk to us and we could have the meal for free (which wasn't very nice to begin with) we was the 3rd table to walk out and there where only 5 tables dining. I hope the chef/manager reads this and adress these issues. The waitresses were absolutely lovely and we cant fault them at all but i don't think the manager should be sending them to do his job and dealing with complaints! I would not recommend this...

We (myself and my husband) went to Indian Spice last night.

It is located at a beautiful location right next to the beach and other restaurants.

We were welcomed by the staff as soon as we entered and then seated at our table. The ambience of the place was nice. They let us settle down in our seats, brought the water in the meantime, and asked us if we are ready to order.

To start with, we ordered a non-veg platter in the starters. It just came in time sizzling hot. It was really tasty. 😋😋🤤🤤 Then in the main course, we ordered chicken tikka masala and dal makhani. Both these items were cooked to perfection according to our taste. The butter naan, garlic naan and my favourite one chicken naan were also fresh & soft. The food was brought to our table without any delays. The staff were friendly and attentive to our needs.
