Our experience at Terra n Sol NYE It might seem like a lot of criticism, but this was our experience at dinner last night. I would say I am an easy going carefree person and usually don’t negative review but I need to voice my dissatisfaction on what should have been a good experience. Firstly if you are going to charge a 15% holiday surcharge let your customers know at the time of booking or the very least make them aware on your website not when you ask for the bill and are then told by staff “ sorry there is a holiday surcharge” okay I was thinking a few dollars…and what option do I have after we have already eaten and been served other than to pay for it….very underhanded from the business and the very first time I have ever been charged a surcharge maybe I don’t go out enough…and when the quality of food and service doesn’t match it does leave you feeling very annoyed at having to pay extra money for an underwhelming experience. Secondly if your staff offer you sparkling or table water on arrival don’t then charge them it’s very misleading and also very annoying to see on the bill (which you don’t get unless you ask for it as the bill comes out in the form of an efpos machine brought to the table). I want to point out we came here for lunch back in September and the experience and food was completely different. This is why I chose to come here for New Year’s Eve dinner solely based on that previous experience. Unfortunately I won’t ever be coming back now because of this one I wish we had taken photos of the food so I could’ve posted what our $194.40 Meals looked like. The lamb koftas were very dry and the spices used not quite right a bit stale tasting. The other two entrees were the three cheese mushroom Arancini which were tasty and better value for money and the actual only highlight of the entire dinner was the fried chicken and chipotle mayo which was crunchy moist and most importantly had flavour. The chicken schnitzel with pot of gravy and julienne hand cut soft chips with skin on was cold by the time we started eating as we waited for the last chicken schnitzel main to come out. We were all disappointed in the $12 bowl of side lettuce overall just a underwhelming cold bland dinner. No one asked how our meals were all given it was a busy night… but staff regularly passed us and did have the time and opportunity. And to add to our disapointing time there, it was so extremely noisy that we couldn’t even talk and hear amongst ourselves and I don’t know what I did to karma because we were also seated near a group who had a far too many drinks in them and kept dropping the F bomb every second sentence loud enough for us to hear over everything else also added to the disapointing experience we had. And get rid of those double connected stools it is very uncomfortable and awkward…if you need to get in or out of your seat you’ll have to ask the person occupying the other stool to also stand up to let you out. Really un-enjoyable dinner. Below is a copy of my receipt. Someone explain the math to me. 🥺 and no dessert menu…

We booked months ahead for work Brunch on Sunday & advised we would be going from 11am to 3pm. Confirmed verbally, online & via text that was sent to me the day before. When we arrived no table was set up & it appeared they were clueless about our booking. No table service. There was a bar in the garden but it was closed so we had to continually walk to the front to order drinks & food. Ordered cocktails & it took half an hour for the drinks to arrive. When subsequent drinks were delivered they didn't clear the empty glasses. It took an hour from time of ordering to receive food. Dips were very bland, hummus tasted like blended chickpeas with nothing added. Generous serves & rest of food was pretty good. Vegan options were basically omitting animal products from dishes without reduction in price. I ordered the baked mushrooms minus the eggs. I received one piece of soggy toast with two mushrooms & some smashed avocado on top, bland & unseasoned & paid $28. Another who is lactose intolerant ordered the pumpkin panini without feta & it arrived with cheddar inside which wasn't in the menu description. Place was understaffed, so we suspect they didn't cater for our booking of 12. Given the prices & the fact we spent over $1k, we expected better. Hopefully they can be a bit more organised in future. Disappointing so probably won't bother again.

🌿 Terra & Sol – A Feast for the Senses 🌞 From the moment we arrived at Terra & Sol, we knew we were in for something special. The atmosphere is vibrant yet relaxed — the kind of place where you can truly unwind and let the good times flow. And speaking of flow, the mojitos? Unreal. Shoutout to the beautiful Jess, our server, who not only served up the best mojitos we’ve ever had but did so with warmth, charm, and effortless professionalism. We went with the FEED ME option ($80pp), and honestly — best decision ever. Their motto, “SIT BACK & LET THE FOOD ROLL OUT,” couldn’t be more accurate. Course after course arrived at our table like a delicious parade: fresh, creative, and absolutely bursting with flavor. Every dish felt like a highlight, carefully curated by a kitchen that clearly loves what they do. Whether you're out with friends, on a date night, or celebrating something special, Terra & Sol delivers a food-and-drink experience that hits all the right notes. Just show up hungry — they’ll take care of the rest. Highly recommend. We’ll be back — and we’re asking for Jess. 🌿🍸🍴

Bouncers were absolutely obsolete. There were two instances that no attention was paid to. One man older; in his 30’s spat his beer out on me and two friends outside of the Unisex toilets - after altering security of the instance in a peak covid spike in Adelaide - we were told that the security cameras showed he had only spat on the floor, and there was nothing they could do about it. How revolting, as our genuine work-life, and health is at stake. Shortly after we had an older woman clear about 6 completely full Vodka Sodas from our table and she announced they were closing in 10 minutes - as 4 of our friends were in the toilets - and there was nothing we could do to stop it. They were apparently, according to google, closing within 40 minutes. Our friends were increasingly dissatisfied upon returning from the toilets and finding their drinks missing. Beyond all else - after having 10+ people in line all night - there was one nefarious older man making fun on my friend wearing a normal out-to-town dress all night repeating the words “she was asking for it” as he continued ro verbally assault her - and all our table when we alerted security. Whilst we were alerting security multiple times that he approached our table - and proceeded to hang around revolting provoking my female friend who virtually could not protect herself in front of herself in front of this 50+ year old man - he eventually learned her name. Not when the venue had closed, but when they had stopped serving - he chased us down after multiple times of alerting the security and them saying there was nothing they could do - him and his younger offsiders decided they should immediately try and fight our male cohort. As a direct result of staff and security refusing to do anything. He proceeded to try and fight our male group of friends - despite us asking for nothing but to leave us alone. Disgusting behaviour of staff and security - who obviously directly follow staffs orders - decided that it was appropriate to not do anything; and continue to not intervene and fight our male friends. None of us 10+ who work within the hospitality industry will be returning to this venue. It is foul behaviour after so many of us have been struggling in covid-restrictions this venue is not even worth its weight in gold. You should be...

1st issue: Booked a booth outside in the garden area for my birthday dinner with my friends and my friends got there a couple minutes before me, went in and asked about the booking and they sat them on the tables out the front, when I went in and asked about it the guy had no idea what I talking about he just clueless and didn’t understand , went out to the garden came back and said “there’s a booth in the garden but it’s already booked” and I said yes i know cause that is the booth that I have booked, not to mention I booked for 15 and they wrote down 10 and give me 1 booth that can’t even fit 8 people in it. 2nd issue: We all ordered our food, one steak came out not to long after but was well done when she asked for medium rare, 30-45 minutes later they start bringing out everyone else’s food shouldnt have to wait that long between each meals that are coming out, food was also average as well nothing special or fancy about it. 3rd issue: I got a south ave tower and asked for orange and they gave us mango and they also don’t do cocktail jugs. 4th issue: There was 2 big tables on the other side of the bar so I asked if we could move there instead as there was no one sitting there and no reservation signs, they then tell me a group of 35 was meant to have those tables at 6:30 and only just arrived when I asked it was 7:25 they were nearly an hour late they should have not kept their reservation in my opinion. Overall do not recommend this place to anyone at all way too crowded such a small space and honestly not worth anyone’s...
