Archer's — Restaurant in undefined

We only had breakfast and late morning coffee here. This restaurant is the breakfast restaurant of the Marriott Hotel Docklands, and also serves lunch and dinner. Breakfast is served 6:30am. Well, it should be served at 6:30am. The three days we stayed at the hotel breakfast was consistently delayed between 10 and 20 minutes. There were various explanations for this, but mostly only apologies. If you need to get going in the morning, which we did, this becomes quite a nuisance. One morning, breakfast was so delayed, that we could only order a coffee and a croissant to go from the coffee bar outside the restaurant. For the price, AUD 40, we also found the breakfast buffet limited and of average quality. The coffee, if you don’t order from the coffee bar, is almost undrinkable. If you order a coffee from the coffee bar it costs extra. The fruit is partially not even fresh but canned. This is highly unusual for a hotel in this price category. Eggs, beans, bacon are available in heated containers in the buffet, but not of a particularly good quality. You can also order eggs made to order. The scrambled eggs were okay, but the omelette was significantly overcooked. The staff is trying their best, but they can’t compensate the poor dining experience. The also become stressed out as several guests were complaining about the slow service.

We recommend booking the Marriott without a breakfast and taking a quick walk to a cafe in the area, if you have the time.

Fantastic service, competitive prices and delicious food! I am so happy that Archer’s have opened in my neighbourhood! A pleasing Hotel Style breakfast with the choice of Buffet + Cooked dish Or Ala-Carte. The price point is matchable to brunching at a cafe. Very comfortable seating, good quality St. Ali coffee. Bfast is available everyday until 11am. We have also tried DINNER AT ARCHER’s. So delicious, well planned menu with all the favourites. This season it’s a French Themed menu. They are currently open for dinner Thu, Fri & Sat. If you join Marriot’s membership club there is a potential discount that can be applied towards your dinner. Amazing service, good wine and great food 👌

The Appellation oysters were fresh and the mignotte was well balanced. The fish and prawn cheviche was delicious. Crispy skin duck and lamb were perfectly cooked.

The crispy cauliflowers are a must try.

The Christmas pudding, baked cheese cake and cheese platter were perfect 👌
