Been coming here for a few years during race week (Bathurst 1000) and it's always good. Except today (Wednesday 4th October 2023) was... slow and bad. 3/4 full at most, heaps of staff, cooks working hard. Yet... two of us ordered toasted sandwiches which came out untoasted. Sandwiches. We mentioned it but it was not understood nor fixed. 25 minutes later the food we ordered at the same time came out. Eggs on sourdough, supposedly toasted but it lacked any toasted colour and was warmish. This might seem like griping but 20, 25, 30 minute wait for two pieces a bread and two eggs that cost $14 ($25 with a coffee and a side a hollandaise) is stupid bad. Another meal came out after 45 minutes. Two of us got coffees in take away cups. My flat white was a latte. My broinlaw didn't eat his poached eggs because they tasted heavily of vinegar. The last time we went it took a while to get served as the counter staff were having a conversation with a customer, their was no one else behind me, it was pretty quiet but I didn't even feel acknowledged until the conversation was done after a few minutes. Don't get me wrong, we still love this place and will continue to return, they have the best freshly made sandwiches, juices, everything else, I just hope they take this on as feedback, as they now have a lot more to compete with...
Read moreI purchased a takeaway flat white in jumbo size this afternoon around 3:30(23nd December 2018), the price on menu was $5.50. When I was about to pay, the cashier tell me it’s $6, I didn’t question why cuz I just thought it must be surcharge for holidays. Anyways, I gave $10 notes and she gave me back 2 gold coins change, and I put it into my back pants pocket straightaway. When I got back to hotel, 2 gold coins slip out of my pants while I was changing and that is when I noticed that 2 gold $1 coins on the floor. I don’t know if she made mistakes or what, but my local Aussie friend told me it is very hard for a local resident to be mistaken by $1 and $2 coins. Yes. I’m from overseas and came to here for holidays. it’s not hard for her to tell, so disappointed for her behaviors....
