Emperor's Dragon Restaurant — Restaurant in Bendigo

Recently held a large family function here with around 40 people. Food was incredible and for the size of our booking, the kitchen did great getting everything out in a timely manner.

The front of house staff were a little on the average side and were very flustered by the number of us all trying to order at the same time. I think they could have prepared a little better by putting on another staff member for the day as the event was booked in advance and they knew there were a lot of people coming in.

All in all, i have and i will continue coming back as i have not been disappointed yet in the exceptional food produced here, thankyou!!!

The restaurant is in a secluded location, next to the Golden Dragon Museum, and the area around it is quite deserted, so it seems to have average business. The decor is simple, and the owner is polite but not particularly warm, which is typical of Chinese people. The Chinese food is very authentic and delicious, with large portions and reasonable prices. This is the feedback from my in-laws, who are both elderly Chinese. It seems this restaurant is run by a Chinese family, with the wife serving as the waitress, and the occasional helper being either the mother or mother-in-law. I can imagine the husband working hard in the kitchen, frying rice. If I lived in Bendigo, I would visit again. Honey prawns are definitely a favourite. Eaten here a couple of times. Fried rice is different to what we expected, still tasty, a little bit too much oil used in the last order, though still enjoyable.
