Delhi Darbar Traditional Indian Restaurant — Restaurant in Bentley

We used to be regular customer of this Indian restaurant. Since our lovely Indian neighbour recommended this place to us. But we won’t come back after today’s extremely disappointing experience. We were on the way backing home after our weekly Saturday grocery and baby stuff shopping, we came to Delhi Darbar around 5:30pm, we ordered two chicken curry for takeaway since we need to get home preparing food for a 20 month old kid and a furkid waiting at home. After we finished ordering, the lady told us it will be ready in 15-20mins. We think it’s fine to wait just 20mins. So I waited in the store, my wife and kid waited in the car. After 30 mins gone, I asked about our order, the lady said another 5 mins. Then after 2 or 3 ‘5 mins’ passed, we decided to ask for refund, we would prefer going to Macs / KFC drive thru for some fast food instead. We said to the lady if it’s not prepared yet, can we get refund? Because we were told the takeaway will be ready 15-20 mins after we placed our order. And we’ve been waiting nearly 40ish mins after a few ‘promised 5 mins’ delay. The lady was like sorry the kitchen is super busy. This excuse is absolutely buxxsxxt and unacceptable. The reality is when I got there, there was only one guy in the store waiting for takeaway. Another three couples came in soon after us. One couple ordered for dining in, the other two were click & collect. They ordered through phone or online order whatever. But they also waited quite long time as us. By the time we left the store, it’s nearly 50 mins, and the couple ,who ordered for dine in, only got water and an entry. We’ve been here lots of times before, the service wasn’t this bad. But we were really disappointed today. If you were really busy ( I won’t say it’s that crazy busy when we were there), just told us the truth when we ordered, then we can make our own decision if we would like to keep waiting or come back next time. Just don’t promise us and you can’t make it in the end. Giving 2 stars, because honestly speaking, the butter chicken and curry are really delicious and tasty good matching with rice or naan bread, they are on spot. But we won’t come back due to this extremely disappointing...

My friend and I had a lunch here today . Picking up this place to have a meal was such a blunder. When we went there were no customers. Then one couple came . We ordered our meal and the other table also ordered their food. This place didn’t have any other customers and no take away or delivery orders . But they took 40 mts to serve our food. But by then the other table customers requested the waiter as they were getting late , they paid and went off saying they’ll come and pick up the food later. We ordered fish curry, dal panch Ranga , coconut rice , roti, pickles and kachumber salad. The food was not at all tasty, too much oil, Tge dal was looking as if it was ground in a mixture like a paste. The coconut rice was in yellow colour supposed to be in white colour . No curry leaves . The salad was not good. Tge pickle was good because they didn’t make the pickle. It was bought out. What else to say . Come on people … do a proper job. You are representing India and it’s good culture. What rubbish is this . To do this job why did you take 45 mts . I strongly recommend not to go to this place . Useless and shame on this outlet and it’s management...

Really unprofessional service. Order the food over the call and place an order then got a call back from them saying to repeat the order that I placed 40 mins ago,then they gave me other 30 mins time frame for pickup, I went there after 30 minutes and food wasn't prepared and paid for the food then asked to wait 15 mins saying they are too busy but they only had 1 table reserved in the restaurant and they was mainly looking after the uber eats order. Then went inside after 15 mins and another saying to wait 15 more minutes as they are so busy serving the uber eats order and not caring about anything else, went inside third time inside and the little boy at the reception said I have been given discount on the food and I thought he will be refunding my money back through the machine and he charge me again (the same person who charge me on the first time) then again waited 20 minutes for the food and the money I overpaid to get the refund for. Not recommended to anyone unless they can wait around 3 hours to...
