The food was amazing, my lunch the next day was boring because I could still clearly remember the taste of my Billycart lunch from the day before. The cold drip coffee was also great. Not the typical over-brewed rocket fuel that most places serve but a satisfying coffee full of flavour. The glass wasn't huge but I prefer a smaller glass of good cold coffee than a flask of black, icey bitterness. I will most definitely be back! UPDATE 1: And I have been back many times. A favourite dish is the loaded eggs but today I just shared a plate of truffle chips with parmesan which was as good as everything I have had. The cold drip is the best cold coffee I've had in Brisbane. The current batch has a strong flavour that really lingers and left me feeling satisfied and buzzing for a long time after leaving. My friend tried cold drip for the first time (in spite of leaving nearby and frequenting Billykart) and he was also impressed... I think he realises that one of my motivations for visiting him is so I have an excuse to get a cold drip at Billykart. UPDATE 2: Dropped in to grab a cup of take away cold drip and was served by whom I can only assume is the owner or he would have felt the need to be at least vaguely pleasant. He looked at me like I had disturbed what he was doing and asked what I wanted. Without even a glimmer of a smile or anything that would suggest if a "soul" he corrected me for asking for "cold brew" to tell me they serve "cold drip" (I actually appreciate the correction although it seemed more disapproving then it needed to). He automatically grabbed a small cup but I dared not ask for a larger one and went and filled it. He even seemed to account for the fact that I asked for no ice, with respect to how far he filled it which would seem more reasonable if the cup wasn't already so small for the price. I left feeling like I had just ordered soup in an episode of Seinfeld and hoped that the coffee would make the experience worthwhile so as to complete that experience. It was good but this batch of cold drip isn't as good as some others. That is of course one of the challenges of cold brewed coffee by whatever method it's made. If you're doing it right the flavour will change and fluctuate. I still recommend this place highly even if it costs more than other speciality coffee places. If you can be served my anyone but him than your experience should be more than pleasant... and maybe he was having a rough day but nobody is going to tell the guy that being pleasant to customers is just as important as all the other things he probably works very hard at. Just hover away from the counter and wait until someone pleasant is serving and you should be right. At least he didn't say, "no coffee for you" and ban me from the cafe.

I love going out for breakfast on the weekend and value quality coffee, lovely meal choices and friendly, helpful and genuinely kind service. Billykart didn’t disappoint. We enjoyed an early Saturday morning breakfast at Billykart. The menu choice while not extensive was full of plenty of delicious choices. The kitchen was very helpful in accommodating modification of meals (where possible) to be gluten free and dairy free for myself. There were plenty of tables available both inside and out and there was plenty of street parking. Our coffees were great and the service was super wonderful. I also loved that there was a choice of freshly squeezed juices available. I enjoyed a mix of the two. I also loved how there was a choice of reading material on the shelves. Great if you wanted to get out and be somewhere lovely to enjoy a coffee by yourself. Across the road from the cafe is a park with playground equipment. Great if you wanted to grab a coffee to watch the kids play. I’ll definitely be returning.

Relaxed and spacey. Love their selection of sweet and savoury. Best coffee- Campos, my favourite: large, flakey chocolate croissants Since my first visit, have been back multiple times, rating would be 4.5 if I could Lady in charge was zipping all over the place, loved her energy and efficiency! Green goddess bowl is bang for buck! Deliciously zesty and crisp, huge serving💚💚💚 Note: need to let people know as they are being seated that it’s table service because we waited a while on our 1st visit. No one had stopped by our table for about 15 mins after our initial sit down and coffee order and then coffee delivery, even with our menus shut and collected, so we had to ask someone how to proceed - ask customers how their meals were upon finishing. Empty coffees glasses, maybe ask if they’d like to order another round etc because most people would say hell yes!

It is a rare occasion indeed when a culinary establishment not only meets but surpasses one’s most optimistic expectations, yet I can unequivocally state that Billykart Kitchen in Annerley has done precisely that. The level of meticulous attention to both the quality of food and customer service offered here is nothing short of exemplary, and it is my considered opinion that many a prominent franchise would do well to take heed of the standards being set by this remarkable establishment.

From the very moment of my arrival, the staff exhibited a level of accommodation and attentiveness that was not only pleasing but deeply refreshing. The waitress, in particular, displayed an unparalleled grace and attentiveness to detail. She, along with her fellow colleagues, ensured that my every request was met with a thoughtful and considered response, making it abundantly clear that at Billykart Kitchen, every patron is not just a customer but a valued guest. The absence of any pretence or indifference in their manner was, frankly, a revelation in an industry that too often forgets the importance of genuine hospitality.

The atmosphere of the establishment is equally praiseworthy—imbued with a warmth and comfort that one might wish to replicate within the confines of their own home. It is well-maintained, aesthetically pleasing, and altogether conducive to relaxation and enjoyment. The intricacies of the décor and layout create an ambiance that is both inviting and sophisticated, far surpassing the pedestrian expectations one might have of a suburban eatery.

The culinary prowess of the chefs is nothing short of a triumph. The presentation of the dishes was exquisite, with every plate arriving as a veritable work of art. The menu’s descriptions were impeccably accurate, ensuring that there was no disparity between expectation and reality. The flavours—oh, the flavours!—were simply extraordinary. It has been quite some time since I have experienced such an explosion of taste; indeed, my palate was enraptured, my taste buds indulging in a veritable symphony of flavours. It is not an exaggeration to say that for the first time in many years, I experienced the sheer joy of a meal that truly delighted and astonished.

The entire service, from the front-of-house staff to the very owner, was nothing short of perfection. Each interaction was conducted with a level of professionalism, warmth, and care that I would dare describe as unparalleled. Billykart Kitchen should be idolized for the exemplary standards it upholds, setting a benchmark that many others in the industry should aspire to. This was not merely a meal—it was an experience, a moment of genuine connection and validation, where I felt not only satisfied but deeply appreciated.

To the staff and owner of Billykart Kitchen, I extend my deepest gratitude. It is clear that such excellence must be a reflection of strong and visionary leadership, and I have no doubt that the team is guided by someone with a true passion for hospitality and quality.

In closing, I must say that this culinary experience is one that will remain with me for a lifetime, and I wholeheartedly recommend that others make it a priority to visit and partake in the unparalleled experience that Billykart Kitchen offers.

With utmost appreciation, Steve B. (Senior...

We ordered a chicken burger, the Tokyo burger, and two other dishes. We requested no mayo or spicy sauce. They ended up bringing out the incorrect burger, some breakfast burger with eggs, bacon, and hash browns. We got the burger returned and they brought another burger, the correct one. After taking two bites, we determined that the chicken was not cooked. Very clearly not cooked, as the chicken was pink. For a piece of deep fried chicken, the batter was not fully cooked either. We mentioned this to them and they took it back. They returned and mentioned that the chicken burger was rushed out, because of the mistaken burger originally brought out. They offered 50% off - which we interpreted as, off the total bill, because it would be reasonable to charge for the burger, let alone 50% for a meal unsafe for consumption. We wife paid and then mentioned that they'd charged 50% for the uncooked chicken burger, in addition to the rest of the meals. They said that errors happen, but making two errors, with one having risks of subsequent health complications - raw chicken isn't considered safe, and then deciding to charge the customer in light of everything happening is unacceptable. Three strikes, so thanks, here's the corresponding review for the...
