Checking into this Local Pub in Annerley was a surprise as the service from Dillon, Leanna, and the two Jack's unbelievable. If you want a great place to stay in Brisbane, don't hesitate to stay here as Wendy the accommodation manager's hotel rooms are beautifully appointed and so comfortable, you would think that your in a five star hotel in Brisbane CBD , but thank goodness your not. Dillon and his incredible staff and their attention to detail in their service, checking in, Hospitality service is " Better than any most Boutique hotels I've encountered on my travels". Just remember this is your local pub with the great live music events organised diligently by a professional musician who just happens to be the Manager of this fine local establishment. When the rest of the Hotel is renovated and please don't be put off by its appearance. It will be your loss. Theirs plenty of restaurants and cafes in the area as there's no kitchen attached to this venue. Please check it out as it will be our version of the " Eaton's Hills hotel which is the local establishment on the Northside of Brisbane. The Chardons Corner Pub is the next up and coming place to play and stay. Thanks to all of you for making my stay memorable on all levels. If you're just needing a good little snack, young Jack from North Queensland who works behind the bar will sort you out with one of his impressive cheese, bacon and onion...

My most recent visit was primarily to watch the mighty 12 Gauge Rampage so, to hang out at the bar afterwards, chatting to the band members, was a huge added bonus. This opportunity epitomised everything this venue embraces.
So, if you're keen to watch one of your favourite artists and they're playing at The Back Room, expect a great night, being served by friendly people and not paying a fortune to enjoy a few ales. Best of all, its location is really convenient to anyone living on the South side of the city.
As a footnote, a big shout out to Odius, the headliners on the night. Some amazing local talent that are bound to...

Conversations between ppl were easily heard whilst the band were playing. There was no mid at all - utterly gutless guitar. Drum and bass were ok but vocals were lost. The massive monolithic posts at each corner of the stage have got to go. They will be contributing to killing the sound coming from the stage. One positive, once you got away from the Stonehenge poles, the view was pretty good from the sides and front. Back of the room, there...
