For the neighborhood and for the type of event I thought this venue to be quite good. I saw Bow Wow of Snoop Dogg fame here, the rap star. I thought I would be paying $5 for a Sprite while I was waiting, but it was only $3.80. The supporting artists were very good too. But the security door staff were mocking and mimicking rap music before the show started. What kind of messed up thinking is that? The artists are giving them a job and they are making fun of them behind their backs? Probably jealous. There was a young female performer whose singing was more difficult to hear. I think the audio people were misbehaving.
For the calibre of musicians they have here, the owner should really update the decor. Young people like hip happening environments with a bit of glam. Which this pub isn't.
I went with an imposter who tried to make himself identical to someone I had met at Internations Social Club. I didn't respond to this stunt and pretended I didn't know so he couldn't call me crazy. Probably through some government jealousy fuelled administration. It wasn't a date, just an acquaintance I met who might be interested in this music. What's your game? Even the person they sent to Torba Restaurant with Internations the first meeting wasn't Patrick Ebube Sound Recording person. Do not do business with him. The hidden agenda was to falsely accuse a grandiose diagnosis of a "dizzy something" to step on the competition of my international resume. Apparently Patrick's ( whom I have never seen) recording studio is located just near Brisbane Airport and the business is being used to eaves drop on the lives of Brisbane people with listening devices. So that he can trade in his secrets to the U.S government or otherwise to gain citizenship. It is located near the airport so that if something should go wrong he can...
Read moreAs a women who works all over Australia with my job. Safety! is important to me as I travel on my own, even though I heard through the grapevine that this place didn't offer a bistro or that it was a working mens social club: I beg to differ! On arrival the staff were so accommodating and made sure I felt welcomed. They make this place and are so relatable. My room was comfortable and had everything I needed the beds are so comfy and even though it's above a bar it was nice and quite. The staff are transparent and shared recommendations of places to eat, and allowed me to eat my dinner inside the sporting bar which made up for them not having a restaurant and the restaurant next door brought my food to me inside Chardons hotel. Wine is priced reasonably cheap and I loved how I was able to do my own thing and enjoy the space while being on my own and not feeling out of place. I also received 2 free drinking tokens which was a great way to make me feel welcomed. If your ever staying at Chardons order from the restaurant next door 'Red Lotus' and also breakfast at the Vietnamese cafe next door. I love how accommodating the staff are as I wanted to watch the Womens league game and they turned the speakers on in the area I was sitting to ensure I enjoyed my time here. There is also rear parking which is connected to a drive-thru bottle'O. Would highly recommended this place if your able to look past the ruff exterior as it is a hidden little gem Thanks for making me feel...
Read moreOur family of six stayed at the Chardon Corner Hotel for a night, and we had a wonderful experience! The hotel was safe, clean, and surprisingly quiet—even though there was a band performing downstairs, we didn’t hear a thing in our room.
The beds were incredibly comfortable, with plush bedding that felt like sinking into a cloud. Our pillows and blankets were plush, which made for a perfect night’s sleep. The kids were thrilled that reliable Wi-Fi was available, keeping them happily occupied on their iPads while dad and I enjoyed a drink from the bar in the comfort of our room. We also loved that we could log into our Netflix on the TV and enjoy a movie together before bed. One other feature that stood out to us was the USB option to plug in your charger! It was a lifesaver for us because we remembered our battery pack and cord but not the adapter!
Though we didn’t use it, the kitchen was fully stocked with amenities—oven, pots, pans, knives—everything you’d need for a meal. The hot shower was refreshing, and we appreciated that there were fresh towels for each of us aswell as shampoo Conditioner and body wash provided by the hotel.
We were pleasantly surprised by our stay and would stay again!
Thanks to the awesome team at Chardon Corner...
