Cafe63 used to be my go to favourite cafe when I lived in Park Ridge and Springwood. Sadly this one has been one disaster after another.
I ordered on Ubereats but the delivery is atrocious in this area. They either read the order notes and ignore them or just don't bother. How difficult is it to leave the bread untoasted, and provide some cutlery, napkins, and butter packets?
This cafe always seem to have some problems, either small or completely messed up my order like putting whole, raw carrots in the salmon dish. I don't know if it's the staff there or what. Don't even bother trying the steak or meat. Completely burnt.
The eggs I ordered were always a much larger portion. There was way too much overcooked bacon thrown (again) in the eggs. The hash browns were kinda burnt.
My favourite creamy mushroom pasta dish (it was delicious at other locations!) was completely messed up. Instead of lot's of creamy mushrooms, it was full of bacon bits again, so much so that there was a layer of grease swimming on the bottom. Greasy instead of creamy.
Below average for their prices, especially as there are much better cafes around this area everywhere. Sadly I gave them a last chance. The drivers also seem to always be late.
Fortunately Ubereats gave me a full refund for the inedible salmon dish (see photo), but I'm sick and tired of complaining fallen on death ears. I can only imagine the bad service in-store.
The salmon used to be delicious. This was completely overcooked and dry. Bland mashed potato. Used to come with steamed veggies. Now they serve those horrific carrots with EVERY MEAL. In this case, too lazy to even cut them up, cook them, and slap the terrible "yoghurt sauce" on them 🤦♀️
Please do better.
Edit: 1st photo is of the salmon dish now. Disgusting.
2nd photo was just last year and delicious. Even posted on my IG.
What a difference. Went completely downhill. It's even cooked...
Read moreWhat a phenomenal dining experience! Contrary to a review left by a family member, the staff here were not only attentive but also remarkably efficient, creating an environment that felt anything but understaffed. Our tables were promptly cleared, showcasing a commitment to maintaining a clean and inviting atmosphere for all patrons. The menu, while extensive, was thoughtfully organized, making it easy to navigate, and the dish names accurately reflected the contents, ensuring a seamless ordering process.
The diverse menu, offering options like waffles, French toast, and pancakes, is a standout feature that caters to various tastes. During our visit, each item was crafted with evident expertise, disproving the notion that focusing on a few items would necessarily enhance quality. The ability to enjoy a myriad of flavors is a testament to the establishment's dedication to providing choices for all preferences.
The friendly and open ambiance of the store adds to the overall positive experience, despite its proximity to a busy street that can get a bit loud at times. However, this minor inconvenience is easily overshadowed by the fast and delicious food. I wholeheartedly recommend the shakes; they are not just tasty but downright indulgent delights that perfectly complement the overall...
Read moreI had no complaints about the food. However the table service wasn't up to scratch. I was asked if i was ready to order twice and had said i was waiting for my friend and i was fine with water until then (she was about 10mins late). As soon as my friend arrived we greeted and barely sat down for 2minutes before being asked what our order was. My friend hadn't even picked up the menu yet. We said give us 5 and it was 5 minutes on the dot when they came back around. I was feeling pressured to order quickly... I understand it was busy but I booked the table before hand and it wasn't at capacity so i dont understand the urgency.
Wasn't given glasses or even a straw with our ordered drinks (lemon lime and bitters). I was trying to wave down any waitress but no one noticed until i got up to get some glasses. Funny contrast considering they kept coming around initially to get my order.
And when the meals came out, the cutlery the napkins, knives and forks were left next to my dish in a pile, and I had to separate and hand them out. Food I would give a 4 out of 5 but the service makes me not want to return.
Don't get me wrong they were friendly and smiled but that's not the kind of table serve one...
