Came here for the first time with a friend and were seated straight away at a table outside, which was fine for us as it was a bigger table, also more personal space and we were hungry. š we ordered 4 dishes and a bucket of steamed rice (it was explained to me that the bucket is for 4 people) but Iām a big fan of rice, so was happy to order the bucket. It was generously filled and I ended up taking the rest away. The food was tasty and they did ask how spicy I wanted the dishes to be, which I always appreciate. The fave dish was the Dried Stir Fried King Oyster Mushrooms, so delicious that I came back later in the evening and ordered take away of just that one dish! I would have ordered it after our lunch that day but the chef had left for the afternoon. I asked for spoons for the dishes and were given spoons, I asked for some chilli oil and offered to pay for it and was told I didnāt need to and was given chilli oil. I found the service efficient and accommodating. Overall, an enjoyable experience and I will definitely be back to try some of their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBefore I forget to say it, when we were here, the food came out FAST. It was like we just ordered it and bam š„ it was out. The vibe here is a little more upmarket than the other restaurants around market square. It is definitely a bit more traditional and has some higher quality dishes. The service was a bit lacklustre. The girl who served us was okay but kinda mumbled the dish name/ just put it on the table without saying anything. It just seemed a bit unfriendly but I understand she probably might just not be as experienced.
All the food is pretty flavourful. We got the cold chicken in chilli sauce which was a bit too spicy for me, but also weirdly refreshing. We got the stir fry chicken in green chilli which was definitely a favourite - nice and tender and good flavour. Finally, we also got the Mongolian beef which was also soft and flavoursome, but probably not what Iād expect for āMongolian beefā. Still great.
Iād definitely recommend coming here. I see it as a slightly nicer place to treat friends and family to! Great decor and good...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhen I visit a restaurant, Iāve usually never given side eyes to anything other than the food quality, but this place was⦠interesting.
When my friend and I visited, a bro standing at the entrance must have been the son of the owner ā otherwise I canāt explain his sullen looks and lack of service mind. He couldnāt take his eyes off his phone and didnāt seem to care about anything. My friend waved and called out for order, but bro didnāt respond and acted like nothing in the universe mattered. Even when he served, he just tossed things on the table like a bad boy in a cheesy K-drama. He was quite impressive⦠just in a lot different way.
The female wait staff was very friendly, and the food was okay. But the choices were quite limited because many of the menu items were unavailable. So I cannot say that I like this restaurant yet.
I wish I could say I liked the food, but Iām more inclined to hope that the sullen bro is the ownerās son, inheriting the restaurant in the future(maybe not that far...) so he can continue not caring about...
