My 4th time here & amazing every time! Be prepared to spend a few hours as you catch up with family & friends over this simmering yummy pot of food you build & cook!
Located at Market Square Sunnybank in the greenish new building on Level 3. The staff are super friendly & most attentive especially to kids! We hadn’t even ordered anything yet & we had received so many free gifts from them to keep the kids entertained!
A huge space with plenty of room for all! They are very adaptable to kids & mobility vehicles. Very friendly staff to help you choose on the iPad & pick everything you would like to eat! A huge condiments table of yummy sauces to choose from & continue to refill as much as you like throughout your time there! The food is very fresh & delicious! Huge variety to choose from & your eyes will be bigger than your stomach! Can’t finish everything? Ask for take-away container to take it home 😊
If you have a birthday or special occasion just let them know - we easily saw 5 birthdays going on with decorated booths, a team goes around & sings happy birthday along with a cake if that’s what you have prepared - & it’s very joyous to watch! Order the noodle dance where someone performs/prepares fresh noodles for you to add to your hot pot! We were lucky enough to also see their ‘Subject Three’ dance where a performer dances in traditional costume in the restaurant for all to see, it’s to bring joy amongst all. Haidilao is also knows for their ‘Secret Word Menu’ & also this store provides a free manicure service which you can see before entering the venue. They also have a great waiting areas outside with games to play & little tables & blocks for kids also as you wait for the rest of your party to arrive!
Plenty of undercover parking in the building & throughout the whole venue however they do get very busy doing peak hours! Easy to get to via public transport with the 130 & 140 buses being the quickest & most frequent, the Altandi train station is the closest with a 20 mins walk up to the venue.
Amenities available in store, easy access for kids, prams & mobility vehicles. You can state all this in your online booking so they can accomodate you!
Highly recommend&...
Read moreHaving been to multiple Hai Di Lao around the World, this branch here was quite below the expected standard of a restaurant .
All our food were serve in disposable containers including the dishes we ordered. Furthermore , there was not even proper utensils supplied to assist with the paste.
After spending a $100 to eat off disposable plastics just leave a bad taste in the mouth.
Would not come back until they fix this most basic requirement of a restaurant , to have plates and utensils.
P.s. I found out that they do have these plates and utensils but they hide it and don’t give to the customer , this really ruined my dining experience (picture attached)
Further edit day after I have to commend the management for trying to reach out with regards to a bad review , heard their plight on how this may affect their staffing and decide to improve the rating by 2 stars, but it would appear they need much more detail of the experience to get good feedback.
First off, spending $100 to eat at Hai Di Lao which is high end , it is unacceptable to have disposable plastic and cardboard boxes dishes. If the staff had inform us of this prior, we would not have eaten there that day. If serving in plastic containers is not the standard, inform the patrons of the reason or offer some compensation.
Furthermore, the experience was even more bitter when we were asked to sign up for the membership and was promised a free dish from doing so but was not given . Do not promise what you cannot deliver, but if you do, follow up on it.
Lastly, when the dishes were served like the prawn paste, our tablet across had the server make up the balls for them . Instead we whom was not provided anything apart from disposable chopsticks had to go find a spoon so we could actual do the prawn paste into our soup. Help the patrons enjoy their expensive experience or at the very least provide them the utensils (a spoon) to do so which was done in all the dozen hai Di Laos I’ve been to and basically any other hotpot place.
I hope these input are worked on and will visit the place again at...
Read moreWhen Haidilao announced its arrival in Brisbane, I felt a palpable excitement. Their grand opening was an event to remember, with unmatched service, tantalising food, and an exhilarating bian lian performance (face change). It was hotpot done right, and I was thoroughly impressed.
In those early days, I was pampered by the attentive staff. A tissue left idle for a moment was swiftly replaced, a minor detail reflecting their meticulous service. Each subsequent visit, with friends and family in tow, has been an enjoyable dining experience, although admittedly, the level of service has not reached the dizzying heights of that opening week.
Eating at Haidilao is akin to stepping into a delightful culinary chaos. There's never a dull moment, with birthday celebrations, live performances, and a flurry of activity that keeps the atmosphere buzzing. It's a riot of stimuli that adds a unique, vibrant edge to the dining experience.
Today, the bustling nature of Haidilao seems to have slightly impacted its capacity to uphold that extraordinary attentiveness. Though the service remains commendable, it's hard not to reminisce about those early days when every detail was meticulously catered to.
Despite this, Haidilao Brisbane is still a high-ranking recommendation. Their hotpot is a delightful experience, with a variety of fresh ingredients to please your palate. While the service may have changed from exceptional to very good, the memory of what it once was adds a touch of nostalgic charm to every visit. It's a testament to their initial impact – they set a standard so high, it's...
