🔡 How Did Biang Biang Noodles Come About?
🌾 Origin Story
Biang Biang noodles originated in Shaanxi Province, especially in the Guanzhong region, where the locals made hand-pulled noodles from wheat flour to create filling meals.
The noodle’s extreme width and hand-slapping technique gave them their name. • When you pull and slap the dough onto a counter, it makes a “biang!” sound • This onomatopoeic name stuck — and became part of local folklore
🀄 The Infamous “Biáng” Character • The character biáng is made-up and has 57 strokes (sometimes listed as more) • It’s considered the most complex Chinese character • Students in Shaanxi often compete to write it correctly • There is no official meaning for it outside of this dish — it’s a purely local cultural invention
📝 Fun Note: There’s a saying that “you can’t eat Biang Biang noodles unless you know how to write the character.” (But don’t worry — that’s just for fun.
The menu keeps its theme but gives such a wide choice on these two “winning dishes”
The portions are generous size and the staff delightful and engaging!
Keep up the authenticity and quality...

The puff pastry like burgers have crispiness, flakiness and crunch to each bite. Expect to get your hands dirty stuffing these into your mouth, so just go with the flow and enjoy the process. Whilst each filling has its own distinct flavour profile my personal favourite is the spicy cumin beef for its combination of taste and heat.
The experimental taro flavour was also a hit, and I hope it'll be available for sale soon as that would make a good dessert option.
Portions wise I reckon 1 burger makes for a hefty snack, and 2 would be sufficient as a meal for most people. I think I ate the equivalent of about 3 burgers at the event and I was stuffed (but quite happily so)!
I'm looking forward to a return visit to try the noodles and maybe another sneaky burger 😁Just gotta figure out how to fit both items in...
Read moreWe had to check this place out because they mysteriously went from 30 or so reviews with a rating of 3 stars to a 1000 in less than a month with a rating of 4.8. My wife and I shared the 5 in 1 signature noodles. We also saw heaps of influencers trending with Terrific Noodle.
Noodle texture was a little on the soft side. Not firm enough for our liking but it was still better some others out there., flavours were ok although the texture of the beef was interesting. It was very oily and didn’t taste fresh. Texture of the potato and carrots were very nice though and had the perfect texture. A nice crisp feeling with every bite. Probably the best bit of the 5 in 1.
So overall what do we think?
Let’s be honest you don’t get a 1000 reviews in a month at 5 stars without greasing the palms of a few influencers to say positive things, so we were curious about buying a bowl to validate the authenticity.
Do they taste good? Yes it’s ok, but not in the way that would have us coming back again because there are better venues out there that do the similar dishes and at a better quality. Do we think they can improve? 100%. They will only get better. They’ve done a good job to improve the standard from when they first started.
I recommend this place a must try if you are looking for something that is more a mainstream and safe for...
