Kusuka Corner,
Thank you for opening up in Market Square! We visited last night and accidentally came across your store as we were travelling down the escalators. I'm kind of thankful we spotted you and decided to give you a try :)
Presentation: 10/10 Honestly, there was something about the simplicity and minimalism that was very enticing - that or we were super hungry! Either way, we ate well with our eyes!
Food: 10/10 Our experience was great, the food was very tasty and full of flavour. Even as we visited toward the end of their opening hours, they didn't slack off with how well the food came cooked and packed with flavour. As of right now, I can't think of any constructive criticism to provide besides KEEP GOING! The Chef's are certainly on the ball with the menu, the ingredients, and cooking up a great feed. Yes, the portion servings do seem to be a little on the small-medium sizing, but it's kind of JUST right.
Service: 10/10 We loved the service, we actually came in from a whole day of Competition and were super tired and hungry yet we were met with enthusiasm, staff who knew the menu very intricately and could offer recommendations without hesitation. It's personally nice when we can't make up our minds that we have a little help from confident staff. You can tell the vibe at Kusuka Corner is healthy with the team and it communicates through the service!
Venue: 10/10 Kusuka Corner itself is tucked away in the new building at Market Square, it isn't the biggest store but with the space they had they did very well with seating arrangement, cleanliness and the fit-out itself being very modern and inviting!
Again, thank you for opening your business and sharing the love for Indonesian Cuisine here in Brisbane.

Read moreI recently had an incredible dining experience at Kusuka Corner in Market Square. The Nasi Goreng Kusuka, their signature Indonesian fried rice, was a spicy delight with a perfectly cooked sunny side up egg, acar pickles, and kerupuk crackers. The fried chicken drumettes added an extra layer of flavor that I loved.
The Nasi Paradise was a true journey through Indonesian flavors, combining fragrant pandan coconut rice, grilled turmeric chicken, chicken skewer, tempeh crackers, sliced egg, acar pickles, tofu slices, peanut drizzle, and a delightful sambal. It truly captured the essence of the Indonesian Archipelago in one dish.
Cha Cha Corn was a unique and delightful dish that played with sweet and savory flavors.
I paired my meal with a drink name Java– a harmonious blend of milk, palm sugar, and grass jelly. While the drinks leaned on the sweeter side, they perfectly balanced the bold flavors of the dishes.
In summary, Kusuka Corner offers an outstanding culinary experience. The bold flavors, spicy kick of the fried rice, and sweeter drinks create a memorable dining adventure that I can't wait to embark on again. Kudos to the chefs for their creativity and...
Read moreIf you are indonesian or someone who missed indonesian food. Avoid this place. Otherwise, the food taste ok, 4 out of 5.
First, the spicy fried rice with chicken. Nice presentation, chicken taste ok, but the fried rice hv bitter after taste, not spicy and taste like they mixed chinese fried noodle sauce into it. It doesn't taste like Indonesian, malaysian, thai or even chinese fried rice.
Secondly, Gado-gado. Smell good, but when u start eating, it doesn't taste like gado2, more like fusion salad. It comes with cabbage, more cabbage, carrot, and beansprout. the juicy bitter after taste wash out gado2 sauce. It shoudn't comes with cabbage & carrot. Where is hard boiled egg & potato, fried tofu, cucumber? Just google it and you can see what it should normally comes with.
what if u missed parmigiana, order it, but it comes as grill chicken with gravy and feta cheese. Dissapointed? angry? The other Indonesian restaurant at least bring back my taste memory. Sorry, I am giving 2 star because I like the original...
