We regularly order from this dominos store and have usually had a good experience. The last time we ordered from here, for myself and my daughter (both vegetarian since birth) and husband (a meat eater), my daughters box came with chicken balls or something, instead of garlic bread. Shes only just turned 4 and so would easily have accidentally taken a bite of one if we didn't see. Today I ordered her the same cheese pizza box but her cheese pizza came with slivers of ham or bacon? Attached to it. Perhaps from using the pizza cutter which has meat on it? Perhaps from gloves? I had never considered that the place uses the same knives/gloves for handling meat and vegetarian options. I'm not sure why this had never occurred to me I also ordered a cheese pizza for myself, which was slightly burned underneath and pretty black on the crusts in places, so the pizza had a burned flavour to it. I was only going to email about the burned pizza to let them know, incase the oven was too high but when I turned the main light on to take a photo of it i realised my daughters pizza had the meat on top. I called and the boy on the phone told me he was the manager and that they aim to not get meat on the vegetarian pizzas but can't guarantee it won't happen. He said it just is how it is. I asked for an email to send the pic of the pizzas and he went off but then Paul came on the phone- store owner Paul is great at saying things like 'I want to help you, I want to fix this for you' Hes also great at staying calm. What is not great is how Paul insulted me by insinuating that because I ordered a chicken pizza for my husband that me and my daughter are not vegetarian? I guess? I'm unsure as to why I would bother calling and asking about cross contamination of raw deli meat and vegetarian items if I was actually a meat eater Paul resolved the issue by offering a refund which was a good gesture
I suppose this is a learning curve for me, since I now realise that the cross contamination happens due to the mixed use of dirtied pizza cutters/gloves ect
Hopefully Paul now knows you can have homes where one spouse is a vegetarian and one isn't. Usually Paul is funny and charismatic, I don't think sarcasm or facetiousness needed to come into the equation. And it pretty much made the attempt as resolving the issue with a new pizza or a refund, futile. He also said 'I'm sorry that you took something I said, the wrong way' Because he back tracked on saying about the meat pizza being ordered. I know everyone makes mistakes and I hadn't called to make a huge complaint, I was disgusted that my daughter could have accidentally eaten meat and really disappointed because of my burned pizza and then upset by the response of both...
Read moreI live 1.4km away from the store. Using the "Live Tracker" I left to pick up my pizza 8 mins prior expected out of oven. I remember my previous experience where my food was luke-warm at best. Upon arrival I checked and noticed my name was not on the screen for "Ready" or "Cooking", figured it was running late (which was fine). After finally getting to the counter and stated my name, my pizza was ready. When I questioned the counter staff about the above, I was initially ignored and then then after restating, was told "it's an estimate". So I explained that I reside 2mins drive away (3mins with the time for the decision to leave with walk to car), then my name is not even there. I figured the so called "Tracker" was typically a gimmick about how great Domino service is when purely it is poor. Upon getting home, the pizza was again warm. Then a wonderful surprise, courtesy of the "DOM Pizza Checker" the slicers were so lacking proportionately in cutting skills, that someone had to have a slice as big as my middle and index finger and another getting a massive slice. Like WTF. Thanks for ruining the evening Domino's Holland Park; I'll be sure to go to Pizza Hut next door next time and will stupendously let vocalise how pathetic the gimmicks and service really is..... 5...
Read moreDisappointing customer experience. I ordered the chocolate fudge brownie and much to my disappointment, one of the cubes looked like a chunk’s been taken off it. It really looked like someone’s taken a bite off it..
So I called Dominos Hollandpark, and explained my situation. Without even asking for a picture of the item, he guarantees me that no one had eaten or taken a bite off the brownie. He even guaranteed me that no one’s tampered with my food..WITHOUT LOOKING AT IT?? I Any self respecting person who cares about customer experience would request for a picture, then proceed with investigation. It almost made me feel like I was trying to simply get a refund.. as if I was making this whole thing up. The individual I spoke to claims he has worked with dominos for 6 years.. In reality, I wasn’t so disappointed when I got the “tampered” desert, but I thought I’d provide feedback so the team at dominos could look at rectification… much to my disappointment, the call I had just ruined my day.. truly disappointing. I even have the...
