Easy Times Brewing Company — Restaurant in Brisbane City

GREAT VIBE We recently held our daughter’s 21st at Easy Times Brewery in the upstairs bar. James and the team made the whole process easy and enjoyable, and they were very professional. From the very beginning when we booked the room, their communication was great, and the service they offer is fantastic - our own dedicated bar, staff, great drinks prices for our tab, the food was plentiful and delicious and the service was wonderful (and we also had our own toilets upstairs). We had about 60 people. While the space was not too big, you could easily fit a larger crowd. James and the staff allowed us access during the day to set up and our display decorator was able to come in and set up without us. The music system was great, the double screens for slideshow was awesome, there were cocktail tables and seating inside as well as table and chair seating outside for the oldies or those wanting a more quiet chat. We had a mic for speeches, and then the dancing kicked off. There is no disabled access to this upper floor. The room has a great vibe, the deck provides a great indoor/outdoor atmosphere. We’ve just moved from Perth to Brisbane and sad to say this place has missed the mark in our books. The first time we came here we waited 10 mins for someone to serve us as the literally was no one - it was an empty venue (also a safety issue) it wasn’t the staffs fault as he said they were understaffed and he seemed to be showing someone the place for an event, we didn’t mind but then we came again for drinks tonight and they said they closed at 10pm on a Friday, I thought it was odd as usually the maps will let you know if the place is closing within an hour and upon checking again they in-fact shut and 12am and it must have been a quiet night so they decided to close early. Just not great for a venue for us as there is so many other places in close proximity we’ve had FAR better experiences at. I would leave a one star but I feel this isn’t fault of the staff but the venue and the management and the Japanese dark beer was nice the first...

Not a lot that I can say that is positive about this place. Definitely won't return. Took 45 minutes to get an order (placed online via their website and table QR code) of their signature tortillas delivered to our table - admittedly could have been tasty....but they were cold. We had one of the mezzanine tables which gave us a good view of their stored hops etc.....in the middle of discussing the poor service we saw what has to be one of the largest rats I've seen, feasting on them. Made us think about the food we had just eaten - definitely won't be back!

August, 2022. Haven't been back but the owners did contact me not long after my original post, horrified at what we had seen. They assured me that they had immediately brought in pest control and were addressing the issue. So top marks for responding quickly....but probably shouldn't have been an issue in the first place. Comments re the food...
