🍀 A Guessperado's Night at The One Mile! 🍀
At The One Mile, we made our stand, For trivia, pints, and a meal so grand. They claim the best Guinness in town, And by St. Paddy, we’d never frown. That black gold was poured by a master’s hand! 🍻
The quiz kicked off (a wee bit late), But sure, good craic was worth the wait. No pens, no paper, just buzzers in hand, Like a game show, fast and unplanned.
Now let’s raise a glass to Liam the bold, A quiz host with wit and a heart of gold! His banter was sharp, his spirit was bright, He kept us all laughing well into the night. A legend, a lad, a true gem to behold! 🍀🎤
Hosted by QuizzaMe!, the trivia was slick, No scribbling down, just buzzing in quick! Fast, furious, and fun to the core, With team rivalries raging like never before.
Five teams battled, the staff played too, With “One Mile High Club” naming their crew. A thousand points just for a shout, (A good trick to keep the Guinness about!) But the lag on the telly? A hullabaloo! 📺⏳
Round by round, we fought with might, Till third place was ours by the end of the night. The music? A miss, but the laughs were pure, And the food was top notch, fresh and sure.
Now, back again soon? Aye, you’re damn right! 🇮🇪🍀

I made a booking online that includes my phone number and email address. I drove 20 minutes there, paid for parking and entered the venue, only to be told that the trivia was called due to the rugby being on and that someone should have emailed me to inform me. I doubled checked email - nothing. I sent an email stating this. I got an illiterate response back saying they "had emailed me back but had misspelt the email address". How is that a resolution or an apology?! Not acceptable. Safe to say I will not be returning...

Well braised beef and incredibly deep-flavoured pie gravy hidden beneath a torched potato top. The peas and potato that accompanied the crusty pie added just the right balance to the richness.
I would definitely get the pie again.
There is Guinness Draft on tap along with a selection of craft tap beers. The liquor shelves are well stocked.
The limited inside dining is lovely and quiet when I visited for lunch. Bar and food service is top class, with the bar staff remembering...
