COCO GABBA FISH & CHIPS — Restaurant in Brisbane City

We thought to try this place, as it’s fairly new, the waiter could not seem to get the order right at all, literally asked us at least 4 times to repeat it. I guess this is the standard these days, he was more interested at what he was looking at on his tablet than concentrating on actually taking our order! The meal took at least 35/40min to come out with only 4 other people in the restaurant, we had to ask twice where our meals were? ordered the steak which was horrible & chips came out cold, couldn’t be bothered waiting for a new batch, but had the “manager” by the looks, sit at a table opposite us and stare at us as it was getting close to closing which I felt was extremely rude, there’s no way I would eat at this joint again. Don’t bother.

To reply to your comments, this is intended for your restaurant, the waiter was on a tablet, could of been his personal device? but he was using a tablet when we ordered, secondly whoever the person was “staring” at us was sitting at a vacant table-it possibly wasn’t intended the way it looked but that’s how we felt, lastly the meal was 100% late to us, we timed it from when we arrived, this is one thing we look at when visiting restaurants & if we’d return -how long the meals take to come out! a steak & schinztel shouldn’t take 30+ mins to come out nor should you serve cold food that’s supposed to be hot! perhaps you should just accept that this was the case instead of...

Really disappointing experience. The reviews we read prior to attending swayed our visit but we quickly realised we’d made a mistake and questioned how the reviews we had read, were so highly given. We ordered via first table - (the share platter and sirloin are not included) but we ordered garlic bread, rump steak and the share platter + wine and beer. The waiter was pleasant and friendly but drinks took a while and the food even longer. There was only us and another two tables in the restaurant. The platter was very disappointing- I’m someone who has eaten seafood fresh from the ocean since I was a child and have tried seafood all over the world. The seafood was very bland and definitely not fresh - frozen at best. The sauce was ok but nothing to rave about. The rice sounds appealing on the menu but was nothing like it read. The steak was overcooked. Asked for medium rare but it was definitely medium-well done. The Chips and salad honestly were the best part of the meal 😣 In the end we were also overcharged for cocktails ($30) so if you do go here, check your receipt! The venue refunded at the time but this was a let down. If anything at least getting the bill right would’ve been nice. Really don’t like writing reviews like this either but lesson learnt, we will be doing more research when using first table or just not use...

We went there after watching a game in Gabba and it was a mess.

It took forever to get served, the staff could hardly speak English. It took over an hour to have our food being served, and the worst thing was serving kid meal at last, and the drink menu was hopeless. My kid just wanted to order apple juice and took them 20 mins to tell me no apple then we changed to mango juice took another 20 mins to tell us no mango and the staff suggest to change another drink but guess what they didn't have it either.

The food portion was really small, definitely not worth for money. We don't think we will go back anytime soon.

After seeing the reply from the team, I am disappointed that he/she replied that we kept changing the drink. We never changed, we just wanted a simple apple juice, but your restaurant did not have it and asked us to changed then we changed to mango juice and your staff came back to me you didn't have mango and suggested us to order another berry drink but then came back to me said you didn't have berry. We didn't want to change it at all if you can suggest to me what you have at the beginning, and now you accused us keep changing the order is totally...
