Edward Espresso: A Must-Visit in Brisbane
Located right off of Central Station, Edward Espresso is an absolute must-visit when you're in Brisbane! This coffee shop offers lovely service, a fantastic menu, and truly incredible espresso and coffees. I always order a flat white as my go-to "strip test" for a coffee shop's espresso, and Edward Espresso certainly passed with flying colors. The blend was incredible, and the milk was steamed to perfection. Beyond the coffee, I was pleasantly surprised by an amazing bowl of pumpkin soup. The staff at both storefronts are absolutely wonderful and incredibly pleasant to talk to. I discovered Edward Espresso through a recommendation from a professor all the way down on the Gold Coast, and I'm so glad I made the trip up to Brisbane for the day to check it out – I was definitely not disappointed. While the small amount of seating at the two adjacent storefronts initially gave me pause, a quick chat with the staff quickly changed my mind. I ended up ordering both a coffee and the pumpkin soup, and both were absolutely incredible. As someone visiting from the US, I'm constantly amazed by Australia’s coffee scene, but it can be challenging to find that perfect spot. Sorry but Starbucks is not a go to spot for me, funny enough there is one across the street from EE.
Edward Espresso never disappoints new or regular customers, and I now know where I'll be buying my beans for my home brew. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to this lovely shop when I'm...

Located in the center of CBD, riding on the slope between Central station and Queen Street Mall, Edward Specialty Coffee is a hidden gem and really easy to be missed if you don’t pay enough attention. But once you have had their coffee, you will want to keep going back. It is a great place to escape from the busy life outside the window.
I grabbed a medium long black with an extra shot. I was offered two choices, fruity and stronger. I didn’t hesitate and chose the stronger one, as I’m working in an hour and I needed something to wake me up. The coffee was alright, very mutual taste. For an extra strong coffee, it wasn’t as strong as I thought it would be, and it actually tasted a bit weak. Maybe I held too big of an expectation, or maybe I’m too tired to taste the intensity of the coffee. But with everything being said, I wasn’t denying the quality of their coffee, as it wasn’t my first time there and their coffee has been consistent. I also loved the fact that the coffee wasn’t insanely hot and was at a comfortable temperature to drink.
The service was great as always, which is another thing that makes me want to keep going back.
For a cafe focusing on specialty coffee, they truly live up...
