We were looking for something to eat after flying in to brisbane and waiting to check in our hotel near by, after not being able to get lunch in a spot we wanted to as they were closed at the weekend.
But we found this gorgeous spot, we wasn’t sure what we were walking into at the time, but we were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful theme of this place. Loved the added touches of LED lights.
There was a little stage where they do open mics and live music on certain days.
As this was not on our list to visit I didnt get much time to look over the menue to see what was available for our dietary needs. We needed a dish that was gluten free, dairy free, egg free and nut free.
The server was incredibly helpful, she asked the chef and brought out a large book that had all the allergies listed and dishes broken down. This made it so much easier to chose the right dish, we went for the Lamb Shanks (usually served with mash but contained dairy) the chef was happy to swap to fries instead that were cooked in its own dedicated fryer.
2 Gluten free beers are available here!
Food was amazing and beautifully presented. We would definitely recommend visiting.
Music was a bit loud, but atleast it was great songs. The dimmed lighting was a great escape for the bright...
Read moreSit down for this... The staff, amazing! Friendly, helpful and clearly happy to be here. Know how to make a cocktail, even the one you ask for, and don't make a fuss of it. Some of the best I've ever experienced in Brisbane, no joke. Atmosphere is brilliant with cracking music and a warm vibe. Amenities are clean and have paper towels to dry hands (W00t). Now, onto the food. The burger was really good, except for the bun. It's wasn't not nice (shh on my double negative, hear me out). Soft and moist, but really dense and heavy. Kind of like a KFC dinner roll. It made the meal much more filling than it looked. Chips - aces. French fries with a coating that was cooked to perfection. And the jalapeno poppers.... Amazing (where's a cracking adjective you need it) . Different to what I have had before, but really effing good. Fresh, crunchy pepper with a filling that I can't quite put my finger on. It's a cut above the standard cream cheese. I want to say curry and cream cheese, but don't want to offend anyone (cue rubbish photo of bitten popper - note the yellow tinge). The chilli chutney it came with was good, but the poppers out classed it. I'll be back, fur sure. I mean, the daily specials! Wow. Just wow. Massive thanks team, well done, I will be back...

Staff are all are super welcoming, professional and kind with gorgeous souls!
Place is suprisingly LARGE for a "laneway bar" ✅ Toilets are nice and clean ✅ Stage with life music ✅ Tables and booths depending on your mode and mood ✅ Slightly more expensive than anywhere else I've been recently🚫 Nice lighting ✅ Beautiful decor ✅ Really good atmosphere ✅
I am unsure of any parking as I utilised the many buses running through the area conveniently just meters away is a stop.
Otherwise it's not so far away from large paid parking areas.
I went on a Monday where it was moderately busy but not so much. It didn't feel crowded at all. Seats and stools are comfy.
Tabletops were all clean and staff were quick to make sure they cleared anything which is quite impressive.
My friends and I shared a large plate of chips that were super crunchy and fresh. We also shared a plate of I think cauliflower with some aoli it was quite different and nice. The cauliflower was comparable I think to like a Japanese...
